I don't know where you live, if you are straight out of highschool, how good your grades are or what but Kentucky has a college called Berea College that is free if you can get in. One of my friends went there and another friend's daughter is going there now. Like I said, I don't know your situation but if you are nearby it might be worth a shot. They have a great nursing program.
If this is not an option, have you considered a student loan? Some states, like North Carolina, will pay off your nursing student loan if you will stay in the state and work for a few years after graduation. Check into your state. You don't have to pay student loans until 6 months after you graduate and you wouldn't have to pay them long if your state will pay them off for you. That is all the advice I have...
Forgot one thing.... If you could get your CNA and go to work some hospitals will pay you to go to RN school if you sign a contract with them to work for so many years after graduation. Also, many will reimburse you after you pass each class so you would pay for the class up front and when you pass, they would reimburse you for it. You could then use that money to pay for the next class.

The OP is an RN - she is looking for RN-BSN programs.
Sorry, don't know of any here in the US. Cheapest (accredited) programs that I'm aware of are Fort Hays, Western Governors and maybe UTA.

I don't know how many states still offer this kind of thing with the economy as bad as it's been for so many years, but a number of states (inc. NC, as noted above) used to offer scholarship/loan programs for people (residents of the state) who wanted to go into nursing or further their nursing education, and, often, you could work the loan off instead of paying it back after you finished school. I spent most of my career in NC, and got a big chunk of money for grad school that I was able to work off instead of repaying simply by working in the state (in the state, not for the state -- pretty much any nursing job would qualify). At that time, NC had three separate scholarship/loan programs for nursing (but only for individuals who were already residents of the state). I would certainly look into that in your own state, if you haven't already.

Well I doubt you will find one that is free, unless you can work at a hospital that will give large amounts of tuition reimbursement. I have two associates degrees and have transferred the maximum amount of credits to my RN-BSN program and I will cost me about 9,000.00 when I am done. The best part is I can go at my own pace and budget, so I am not taking out loans. I think 9K for a RN-BSN is pretty cheap. This is a brick and mortar school, but they also have many out of state students since it is all online with some hybrid classes if the student chooses. Good luck!

If you are low income, a grant will pay for much of your BSN, also scholarships. If you're not low income you can get scholarships and your employer may pay part of your education.
Loans are always a possibility, too. WGU can be completed in 6 months. Ohio University is one of the cheapest BSN programs.
which grant.......

Pell grant for starters. Google search your state for grants. You'll probably find a few.

If you can manage to get hired by a school that offers BSN, you may get free credits as an employee benefit. Check out student health services openings at schools that interest you.
