  1. There are so many jobs for experienced nurses here, why not just apply?
  2. What's her rationale? If the clamps weren't supposed to be moved, they'd be fixed.
  3. It's fine to move them.
  4. My unit hasn't has a CLABSI in years. We wear gloves when doing anything with the line, we scrub the hub, and we cap all of the ports and hubs when not in use. We use new caps any time we access the hub or port. We change dressings and caps weekly, or more often. We do daily clorhexadine baths for anyone with a line.
  5. Following this post. I also hope to be in the NICU some day. I've struggled finding ideal/desireable pathways to preferred specialties. There's no clear answer that I can find.
  6. I work there in the Heart and Vascular institute. It's amazing and I've learned a lot!
  7. I saw a job post for adjunct clinical faculty offering $65/hr Our clinical rotations were 13-16 hours a week depending on the semester. Clinical rotations averaged 10 weeks per semester. So, even teaching clinical two semesters a year, if you get paid for 13hrs/week, it's only $16,900/ year. Good supplemental income, but not enough to pay the bills.
  8. Congratulations, loveSBK!!!!! What a long wait!
  9. Hi Sarah, if you can get an athletic or academic scholarship, look at Case Western's Francis Payne Bolton school of nursing :)
  10. I had a few of those questions and I passed in 75 questions! I did the trick with my credit card but put the wrong expiration date.
  11. I logged into my account, and clicked on quick results and paid the money :)
  12. I got my quick results 48 hours after the exam shut off. I hope your hold is released soon
  13. I was getting mostly 70-80% and I passed in 75 questions! I just got my quick results today :)
