World Registration

After not passing my NCLEX-RN in 2012, I re-applied for licensure and was denied. I recently completed the required classes of OB, Med-Surg and Psychiatric nursing. I had my transcript for my OB course verified and am currently waiting on my Med-Surg and Psych transcript to be verified.

The thing is, it has been a month now since I sent out my transcript. My analyst won't pick up her phone, the licensing and examination supervisor has not called me back, the call center personnel cannot inform me of whether my transcript has been received.

I want to take my NCLEX-RN exam by October for personal reasons. Prior to my completion of the said classes, I also applied for licensure by exam in the state of Hawaii and I can register my NCLEX-RN exam through Hawaii instead.

I am in a bit of a dilemma, I understand that I would still have to file a new application for licensure by endorsement. I am contemplating on doing this as I really really want to take the exam by October. But at the same time, I am scared that more classes might be added when I file a new application.

Any thoughts or comments? I will call the CA BRN call center a little later to get more inform.

If may I ask where school did you go for completing the requirement? I lived 10 miles away from the BON office in sacramento. They can easily accommodate you if you will go there personally.

If it's only been a month, you might have to wait a bit longer. They won't even talk to you until they've had your documents in hand for six weeks (unless something has changed, recently). Good luck!

Unfortunately until all your transcripts are complete you will not get authorization, I would not call until your packet is completed.

So I went to the CA BRN earlier and fortunately my analyst came out and took the time to speak to me. So I handed her my official transcript and she said she will process my eligibility as soon as possible! So it was definitely worth the time to drive out there and deal in person!

Can you please give me the information about where you finished your deficiencies. I also have the same deficiency like you. I also applied and got denied last year. I just passed my LVN but i still want to be an RN.
