Hi! I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines. I really decided to join this website because I have so many questions in mind that is bothering me right at this moment. This is regarding my plans of working in Illinois. I will be taking the CGFNS exam this July. In God's grace to pass, I'm planning to take IELTS exam and apply for an NCLEX examination. I would just like to ask an advice from you if what exam should I take first? Is it the IELTS or apply first to NCLEX? And how many months does this application will be approved by the Illinois BON? Because I've heard from my friends that it will took us a couple of months for our application to be approved by the Illinois BON for us to take the NCLEX exam. Is it true? Thanks ahead for your reply... God bless!!!

Hi there! I dont think you need TOEFL because I had IL license minus that silly exam. You also dont need to send your transcript nor diploma to CTS if you have CGFNS or CES report. All you have to do is mail your CG certificate to CTS or apply CES under CGFNS. CES will evaluate your education credentials and will be the one to send the certificate to CTS. Just check out CES requirements and that includes transcript etc.. about the pictures, its kinda weird they dont require it.;)

Hi! Good day! I just read that you didn't take TOEFL or any engilsh exam, I presume correct me if I'm wrong. I raised debates on myself whether to take TOEFL-ibt or not. I want to concentrate on review for the retake this June and NCLEX this July or August, if all gets well. Of course I will be taking this exam for VS purpose after I have taken NCLEX.

I really want take NCLEX-Illinois first before TOELF-ibt. I read that TOEFL can be waived if the language of teaching and the books thats being used is all english. How can this be waived? By CES? Or by a letter from my school?

Thanks! Feel free to reply, I will entertain any suggestions and comments.

God Bless!

HI, KING OF HEART I WOULD JUST LIKE TO ASK IF YOU TOOK THE CGFNS+IELTS??? IF YOU DID TOOK BOTH...MAYBE THAT WOULD BE THE REASON THAT YOUR IELTS WAS ACCEPTED IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS....but for the others who arent taking any english proficiency exam yet, they are asked to take the TOEFEL instead...correct me please if im wrong w/ my statement....thank you...me too honestly, im damn confused...my ielts has lapsed already dont know which to take next...sigh

nice...
