Ok, I know we should be frugal after we graduate and invest in retirement, pay off debt and student loans, etc. However, for a little fun, what kinds of things do you look forward to buying after you graduate and are working as a nurse?
For me: a Dyson vacuum cleaner ($500) and a set of NARS blushes ($200), the best blush on the planet. I've also been fixated on buying a Mini Cooper:
I suspect I'll buy the Dyson and NARS, but the Mini Cooper may just not be a good financial choice.
So what do you all want to buy?
I would like to pay my bills on time, buy my Suzuki Grand Vitara, buy a new house and get out of this neighborhood, and actually take a real vacation. I have never been on a vacation (we never even got a honey moon!). I would like to actually like to be able to do things with my kids instead of always saying, "I'm sorry baby, we just don't have the money." I'm buying my daughter an iPod touch and my son a new pair of $650 roller skates. (been wanting to do that for the last 1.5 years!). That's all I can think of for now. Some of ya'll have some really good ideas... I just hope that I get through all this so that I CAN do all that!
hey yes we can(dreams) lol but ive always wanted a bmw and thats going to be my GIFT TO MYSELF! what about you!
A Happy Ending! I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. I am generally a happy person, I just want to be happier. A lexus would be nice, but it's not everything. I think I should sit down and write out a list. I just need to figure out what to put on that list!
Okay I couldn't resist adding to this post. After paying off any outstanding debt then I can start wishing.
These are my wish items:
Designer shoes...Christian Louboutin to be exact
Laser Hair Removal-NO I am not a hairy chick, I'm just tired of the same routine of shaving, tweezing and plucking(I have a personal thing against body hair...don't ask)
A trip to Tahiti with a hut over the water(a delayed honeymoon since we never had one)
and a Midnight Blue Harley Davidson Bike for myself
I love the bike idea! double kudo's!!
What's up with tans? I never understood people who want them? I figured tans are only for people who look like vampires. The pale look just screams out -- NO BLOOD
I have like, maybe two? Two or more shades on me, I've never really had just one color all throughout. I have to admit though, I am pale on parts of my body that don't get exposed enough. In extreme cold weather, I am pale all throughout. So, I guess, I'd qualify for a vampire?
Maybe I should get a tan, at least it's a way to get one color all throughout? Nah, I like my multi-colored skin. Tee Hee...
I love this question. I would love to be able to pay off the 60+ grand of student loans I accumulated during my first BA. That, and a newer car. I've never had a car less than 10 years old! I think after the monthly payments for the loans, there won't be too much left over
Oh, and I would plan a nice wedding for myself and my wonderful, supportive boyfriend.
