Ok, I know we should be frugal after we graduate and invest in retirement, pay off debt and student loans, etc. However, for a little fun, what kinds of things do you look forward to buying after you graduate and are working as a nurse?
For me: a Dyson vacuum cleaner ($500) and a set of NARS blushes ($200), the best blush on the planet. I've also been fixated on buying a Mini Cooper:
I suspect I'll buy the Dyson and NARS, but the Mini Cooper may just not be a good financial choice.
So what do you all want to buy?
hi alli just finished school dec. 08 and my husband is getting ready to start school to change careers. he is a truck driver here in mi for the automotive industry(did i finish on time or what)!!! i plan to go into medicare home visits, i need the big bucks, cant do the hospital thing. i was there on med/surg for 1 1/2 yrs cant take all the running around and cattiness amoung the "clicks", i need a break.
so the first thing would buy is my kids all new clothes (tough this last year), plus i had a daughter turn 16 in dec and she is waiting patiently on a car. i want to buy a new home but doubt it would sell in mi. buy my self an infinity. save money big time. take the kids on a vacation and give my husband anything he wants because he held it down for the family.

so congrat are in order ... rn or lpn ?
Lineman? For the county? In Wichita?
He's a Lineman - just like the guy in the pictures... builds new cable, sets new poles, repairs wrecked telephone poles... He is not in the military. Currently we are in Ohio. He did work in Texas after Hurricane Ike doing line construction and repair.
I'm not buying my U.S army boyfriend nothing,nothing...unless we are married,thank you..:heartbeat
Haha!! That'll teach em!!
A massage. And a new car...in that order. I think I'll get a massage on my way to the dealership!
What a GREAT idea!!!
My daughter and I are making goals together....some short term and some long term. Being in school teaches her how to make these goals and why they are important, and doing them together teaches her that she's an important role in this journey together.
So, some goals we set for us after I finish school and become an RN are:
Have a place of our own
Take a vacation to the beach (east or west coast)
Go to Manhattan!
