Just for fun... nursing diagnoses as applied to other fields...
Nursing Diagnoses for a Flat Tire
Diagnosis - Impaired propulsion due to altered internal tire pressure as evidenced by deflated front left tire
Intervention/Action - 1) Minimize driving of car. Rational - propulsion direction control is impaired on a deflated tire and could lead to an accident 2) Assess tire for holes, embedded objects, and wear and tear. Rationale - flat tires are caused by a breach in the pressurized inner tube inside the rubber tire; holes, wear and tear and embedded objects may indicate location of breach 3) Re-pressurize tire if/when no breach in tube surface
Diagnosis - Potential for structural damage due to disturbed weight distribution as evidenced by car leaning to the front left
Intervention/Action - 1) Minimize driving of car. Rationale - driving adds more pressure to the disturbed weight distribution and heightens risk of structural damage 2) Use a jack to lift car off flat tire. Rationale - removing the weight of the car from the flat tire will minimize risk for structural damage due to uneven weight distributation
Diagnosis - Impaired integrity of tire inner tube due to puncture hole as evidenced by visualized puncture hole in inner tube
Intervention/Action - 1) Apply inner tube tire patch over puncture hole (per mechanic order). Rationale - patch will seal the breached surface allowing the inner tube to retain adequate air pressure for effective propusion
Diagnosis - Potential for ineffective propulsion due to altered internal air pressure from overinflation or underflation of tire
Intervention/Action - 1) Monitor that PSI of internal air pressure of the inner tube is within the recommended guidelines for tire type

It doesn't matter how many of us monkeys think it-- all that matters is that we don't say "flat tire", because then we'd be practicing mechanic without a license.

Yes and it would probably be outside our scope of practice to diagnose a puncture hole too.

and God knows, we know a p-hole when we see one.

but thank you for the laugh :chuckle

Haha..perfect timing since I just had a flat tire two days ago! At least it was only flat on one side. :uhoh21:
so you should make sure to do active ROM to that side and post a sign saying no tire pressures or air draws to that side.....
