My question to all of you that applied for this year, what is your GPA?I am trying to find out how competitive the program is this year. The waiting game on the acceptance letter is killing me and I have heard we wont find out til end of March.
My GPA for the pre-req courses is a 3.0 . I know that is not the best, but I have a friend that goes there and her GPA was lower than mine, and she was admitted to the nursing program this past fall.
23 more days until the end of April! Let's all hope we know something in 23 days or less!!!
I've already started getting my May bills, and of course since I have to pay ~ it seems so close. But, of course, the wait for this seems like years away. I don't get it =/
I know what you mean KareBear. I check my mailbox every morning even though I know nothing is going to be there yet... I know they JUST started reviewing transfers, but I still run out and check it every day anyway. I just want this month to hurry up already!
Hi guys! Did anyone hear from niu today? They probably know my number already because i call them almost everyday and it is thesame wait till april ending...just wondering if any one heard anything different today! The wait is killing..lol
I haven't heard anything yet. 20 more days until the end of April! Hopefully we know something by then!!! Anyone who is currently a student at NIU hear anything yet??
I wrote an email last night to one of the nursing advisors. I asked her if a decision has been made yet and if we will receieve an email as well as a "snail mail" letter. I'll let everyone know when I get a response.
I have been looking at other threads on here, and people that applied to Northern and got in, received their acceptance letters around the 20th of April. If this is the case, we only have about a week left til we receive our letters.
Does anyone know if after we get an accepted letter in the mail, the hold from our NIU account will go away? I thought I would be able to sneak around the system and see if I got in before receiving the letter.
No, it won't go away. You have to attend NIU's campus orientaton (Willow already went, so ask her if you have any questions about it) and you will also have to attend some type of NIU nursing orientation when the time comes.
I did write an email to someone over there this morning asking if they send NIU emails as well. I will post as soon as I hear a response! I've been checking all day!
I just want this month to hurry up already!
