No. Never get it.. Too many vaccines out there. What's the point ? Vaccines have become so controversial.. Babies have to get a zillion of them in their first year.. Is autism in kids connected to the "mercury" still in vaccines. How come we have to destroy all the mercury thermommeters and fillings in our teeth but they still use it in vaccines..
Also, how do they know what "strain" of flu will hit this season? We are NOT getting the specific vaccine for what will come.. They just pick one and put it out there. I saw a nurse all crippled and in fetal position until she died after having the Swine flu vaccine in the 70's. No thanks!!
I realize I have opened myself up for attack from well meaning nurses on this one. HaHa. That's OK...
The debate among the general public about vaccines and autism continues but the debate within the health care community is settled...there is no link.
As for the flu vaccine...true, we don't know what strain is going to hit but we do take an educated guess and hope for the best. Those who don't want to take the vaccine have that option but you won't be getting any sympathy from me if you refuse the shot and get sick.
not only is there no link between vaccines and autism, there has not been mercuy in the vaccines for years. I get a flu shot every year. Even if the strain that is going around does not match what I have in the vaccine it should keep me from being as sick as I would have been otherwise.
Tell that story to the parents of those with autism . Then go and look at some research and don't be sooo nieve as to believe what Big Pharma wants us to swallow. PS: I have NEVER had the flu and if I did I wouldn't credit an outdated vaccine for "saving" me from it!!
Since it is being offered free at work this year, I'll be getting it.
I opted not to last year because I felt they didn't include current strains and I came down with the flu.
Of course, sudden onset weakness, aches, chills, 103 fever... is the flu; but, my nasal swab was negative. Makes me wonder how accurate/efficient everything is; but, I figure I have a better chance at avoiding something that took me 2 months to fully recover from if I get the flu shot this year.

It's that time of year again- can't have Christmas unless we get Flu Season too. Are you going to get a flu vaccine? Why/Why not?
