How's it going with you guys?
Not to temp the Flu Gods, but so far so good.
Lots of mono, strep and "walking" pneumonia, however.

I had a little girl (1st grader) come to me this week c/o "I have a cold." As she did have a booger on the tip of her nose, I said (as I tried to muffle my snicker), "Here sweetie, how about you blow your nose?" She did, turns to me, "I still have a cold." No ****? Go back to class.
Oh, but to answer the question...
No flu, a couple cases if strep, lots of stomach bugs. Our poor principal's family has been passing it around for two weeks.

A preschooler coughed in my face two weeks ago and I get pneumonia. Just finished a Z Pack- pneumonia sucks when you already have asthma.
btw- the kid's doing great!!

Well. Now I can say I have a diabetic student. Came in feeling tired and not well. Mom was notified and she said he was just tired. He kept sleeping in class and was acting groggy. I didn't think of anything. After two more calls mom picked him up. Then I get a call two hours later from her saying his blood sugar is 574.

Not that I know of! He was just not feeling good and wanted to sleep all day in my clinic! Now I am going to be paranoid about every other student coming in!
