FCCJ SPRING 2010

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I know it is a little early, but anyone plan on applying for FCCJ's spring 2010 program?? If I can get my Nat points up and if I do well in Micro this summer , I will be ready to apply!!!:yeah:Finally!!

I just got back from the Doc, and turns out I have no HepB antibodies at all. So I am starting the series of boosters now. I also had to get MMR booster. I am thinking jeeze, thanks mom, did I not get any vaccines as a kid or what?!?! Thank goodness my varicella was good though. So today I got a total of three shots :( I am such a wimp when it comes to them. :bluecry1: So now I just have to wait until next week to get my PPD test. I also went and got my passport photo at the UPS store but it turned out way to light so I am going to have it redone. But just an FYI, the UPS store gives a discount to students for the passport photo. It is only 7.95.

Also, I just went out to BB and all you have to do is enroll in the organization to be able to view the information for nursing. It has alot of information on dosage calculations listed. It is located under nursing tutor.

Stephanie09..

Thanks so much for the helpful info!!

I have to call up to the clinic to see when titers come back in, they said Wed, I just want to have everything officially done before the holidays so I can relax!

Thank you for the response Stephanie09. What is this BB everyone is talking about? I hope it's not black board because I can't get on to that.

It is blackboard and why can't you get on? All you need is the same student login and password you use for artemis... bb.fscj.edu

I'm not sure why I can't log into blackboard. I can get into connections but not bb. I haven't used it for several years. I don't know if things have changed but years ago your teacher had to enroll you into it for you to gain access to it. I haven't had a class for about 3 years. I'll just call tech support in the a.m.

You don't have to have a teacher to enroll you to gain access anymore unless you are trying to get in a specific class, The nurse tutor is under community and you self enroll yourself into the class and there you will find all the info! FYI everyone if you look at the word doc under the nurse tutor documents assignments and list the books you need for dosage calc, iv calc and med terms.

Got my titers results back! Everything came back positive:w00t:

Anyways hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

I think they will cover the 1st exam at orientation so I would not worry about it until then. I am with you - I got my letter last Friday so we are in the same boat - less time to get it all together, but that Is OKAY - just THRILLED to be accepted! See you at orientation!

Sounds like everyone is in full swing getting everything ready. I was accepted Friday and had blood drawn Monday for my titers, but it was done at the base. I am at the discretion of the Navy and it will not be back for 2.5 weeks, other then that I have everything else done and have ordered uniforms and some supplies ($230 later)! AHHH! I am looking forward to meeting everyone at orientation and more important graduating together!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
