    Timble,
Is there a specific color of polo? I didn't see it on the paper. Is it that there is only one color for us?

Thanks everyone for the info I asked about. Future, sorry to hear about your accident. Wow! Talk about not needing another thing to deal with right now. I stress every time I drive around here. I hate how people drive in this city. Coming from Virginia in May of 08, I found the lack of common sense and simple driving rules crazy. I just paid off my Jeep in Feb. and we don't have money for a car payment right now. So I worry that someone will run into me and ruin my only transportation that is critical for nursing school! My worry for you is your little daughter. She is ok, right? Hopefully she is just fine, kids are extremely resilient. I also hope your car will be back in operation for orientation and the start of school. Good Luck to you with that. Hopefully your insurance and hers will have it started and done in no time!

Thanks for the support! My daughter is perfectly fine as a matter of fact when it happen these were her exact words "Whoa mommy your car is broken!" lol

I got my car in the shop, the other driver's insurance will be paying for damages and rental car! The damages are estimated over $5000! My car will be in the shop for 2 weeks but thankfully my daughter and I are still alive so that's all that matters

ok well, the pocket protectors at the book store are $5 for an empty one, and $9 for one that comes with the scissors, penlight, and a regular pen, in case anyone was wondering. I went to buy mine on medisave and the shipping was $10 bucks? I'll be buying mine at the book store i think.

what exactly comes in the skills kit?

and btw, THANK YOU FUTURERNMOM! I totally didnt see the deadline for the paperwork, so if you hadnt said anything, i wouldnt have turned my paperwork in on time! I though it was due on orientation. My titers arent coming in until the middle of next week, but i talked to the nursing dept and they said that should be fine, as long as i have everything else in order to turn in.

I have been seeing that you can log onto BB and join the group for the med terms test. If someone could help me out by being a little more specific that would be great! I went to the BB website, and saw the communities tab on the upper right hand side, clicked, and it brought me to a page with three different types of communities to join, don't think that was the right place. If you could provide a step by step or close to that would be great!
Thank you so much, and congrats to all who got in! And good luck to those applying again.

    cdettelbach,

Once you click on the communities tab it shows a list of campuses. Click on North campus, then it will give a list of all the organizations. You have to click on "enroll" to join that specific organization. I am in nursing tutor north, and nursing student orientation. Once you self enroll (this does not mean that you have to pay for anything, this is all free) you should be able to see all of the information. I hope this helps.

HOLY CRAP! What base did you go to? I have an appt on Monday for my physical/titers and now im nervous about getting them back in time! btw, did you just say "I need my titers drawn"? bc when i called for my appt they had no idea what a titer was, lol. Nice to see another navy wife! congrats!
The nurse from internal medicine called yesterday - my titers came back. It took 10 days but that is over the holiday so I think that is pretty quick! all were good to go so i do not need boosters Hope everything went well for you at the base and is moving along!

Yes I called them and it is not a problem just ask the base to give you proof that they were drawn and it will be fine I got mine back yesterday - the nurse called. Call central appts 542-4664 and leave a message for your DR to call u with results ASAP but in the meantime ask the DR to leave a copy/proof that the tests were ordered on your blood sample for you to pick-up. The Dr's nurse will call you w/in 24 hours. Good luck!

Not sure how long you have had to deal with navy life. But my husband has been active for 13.5 years so if you need anything with base info/ins and outs you can call me. But you could be seasoned at the miltary life more then me! I am here to help, if you need me Good luck with the base!

ok great! I'm heading to the clinic now (my husband works at JAX but my dr is in mayport) to get my TB shot read, hopefully when i go they can get me a copy of something that says i did get the titers drawn.

No, my husbands only been in for 5 years, I've learned ALOT about military life in those years, but I'm sure you know a heck of alot more than me by now! I'll let you know how it goes, i think my uniforms are supposed to come today too (crossing my fingers!!)

How did everyone get notified their uniforms had been shipped? I ordered mines on 11/20 and I haven't heard anything yet

I got an email just a few days ago (which is weird bc i ordered them on 11/22 i believe) saying they were being shipped via ups. I used the tracking number and they went out on the truck this morning at 7am, although im STILL waiting on them.
