Florida IPN saga continues

Published

So, I posted several months ago.

I self reported a positive drug screen 5 months ago. I don't do drugs, it wasn't an intentional thing. Let's just leave it at that.

BON is finally looking at my case. I got a phone call from IPN that the investigator on my case from the BON contacted IPN for an "emergency referral". IPN lady said I had 24 hours to agree to get an evaluation and voluntarily withdraw my license. The ironic thing is I already got an evaluation per my lawyer, who is approved, but since it was not "IPN facilitated" I cannot use it with IPN. ?I knew this would probably happen but my lawyer was hoping to present it to the BON and not deal with IPN.

My evaluation I got on my own did NOT suggest monitoring which is amazing! So I plan on sending that to the new, IPN owned, evaluator. I'm sure he is in their pocket and financially driven to say that I'll need monitoring. I'm mentally prepared for that part.

My concern is I've received nothing from the DOH/BON. My lawyer says I have two choices. Play the IPN game, or try to deal with the BON, but risk a suspension on my license while they "investigate", and a public complaint on my license.

I can see why IPN backs you into a corner and makes it seem that the only way is through them, by their arbitrary rules.

I'm waiting to hear back from IPN. I knew I'd get sucked into this, but a positive evaluation made me think for one moment I'd prevail.

Just curious if anyone in ipn knows the consequences for a first failed drug screen (blood peth test )

yes, you will get ANOTHER eval!

This evaluation may make you go to IOP or inpatient treatment.  Depending on how high your Peth was of course!

You can PM me if you need to vent, have questions, or need some support!

I am sucessfully working with an SC  unencumbered license as a home health RN case manager! BET ipn is gonna be po'd when they find out ! LOL

Being stuck in that BS supposed rehab ( I self reported over a mental health crisis… how drug rehab was supposed to be any use whatsoever is beyond me). I was so clueless that I didn’t even realize the place was even a rehab until I’d been there a few days. I got suckered into the place due to the IPN tool of an ‘evaluator’ saying I needed a ‘neuropsychiatric eveluation.’ Ching Ching…$$$$. Imagine what happened when they illegally contacted my family, figured out there was straight up cash to be had? Yep, deluxe package of IP and IOP. $35000 later I learned that lying was then only thing that was gonna get me out of there. Odd lesson from a program that shoves 12 step gospel down your throat. Doesn’t one of the steps say something about being honest? Those clowns should reread the stuff they push as the supposed cure for everything. Cue my eyes rolling so hard it’s audible.

Oh and when I quit my crappy job over patient safety concerns, I immediately called the CM who assured me it would be fine, then promptly mailed me a letter that said she ‘was required to send me for an evaluation,’ Yeah, another $1100. The result was absolutely no changes but she babbled something about it possibly being grounds to re start my contract??!!?! Uhhh, I think not! Let me have you speak to my lawyer.
I see they are still the same bunch of crooks…..

I'm a nurse in FL and am likely facing IPN. Can anyone here reach out to me to answer some questions and help prepare me?  I will provide contact info--I am unable to message people on here.  Thanks. My email is  BonitaFLnurse@gmail.com

Hey, I am in FL monitoring. I will gladly give you any info that you want if you want to send me your email. I was TERRIFIED... when I started 1 year ago. But I have 1 year left. It's been easy peasy for me and my experience has been pretty smooth for the most part. It doesn't have to be scary or overly complicated and I wish I had someone to guide me through it in the beginning. Just let me know

Do what they say, they dictate, are a for profit business with "partners" that seem to get kickbacks for evaluations and could care less about you as a person. It's not complicated, just BS

Do you mind emailing as well @ [email protected]? I'm looking for guidance and how your experience has been. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I seriously think IPN needs to be investigated for their apparent lack of oversight (again- how is THAT legal?). I would be willing to work with anyone who wants to face them head on because I know they're a cash cow and they ruin lives left and right.

Hello I am a FL nurse just finished the evaluation waiting for them to give me the final say. I have not got my results back yet for any of the testing which I know it will be negative. I am only going through this since I had a dui and trying to take my NCLEX. Not sure if I should contact them since it's been almost 2 weeks from my evaluation. What should I do and be ready for? Email if if you can thank you. [email protected]
