ipn
I have 10 yrs worth of research, nurse stories, and other things that show the unethical practices of IPN. Im.pretty much an expert on all things PEth!! It should never be used as a stand alone test nor at levels less than 200ngs! This is how they get nurses with no issues!!

ipn
I wish you all would be brave enough to share your stories! Lets get them.written out, send the whole thing to Desantis, and get this corrupt organization investigated!! I have heard all different stories of IPN,whether nurses actually have addiction issues or not, 95 percent of these nurses have had a terrible experience with IPN. Nurses with addiction issues get SUBPAR help from rehabs they are forced into. Nurses that get forced into IPN for BS reasons don't have any recourse except to sign the contract or not work and wait for a board hearing. ( and then.are referred back to IPN! This "program" shouldnt be punitive, and other states have MUCH better programs that actually treat nurses like human beings, not "bad nurses". Lets change this together!

Florida IPN saga continues
Hello All IPN "victims", Even though I moved away and have a CLEAR RN license in SC, IPN and the.FL DOH are screaming for me to surrender my FL license ( which I just renewed but cant work unless im.in .......IPN). SC RPP thought what I had been through was HORRENDOUS and they are 10000000 xs more supportive of nurses. IPN made me get an evaluation....evaluator made me go to IOP based on a PETH test of 24 from....2014!! I did the way subpar IOP and because I wouldnt admit I had a PROBLEM they extended iop another 4 weeks. Because. I never admitted to a problem I don't have ( ALL TESTS NEGATIVE INCLUDING THE EVALUATORS TESTS) , IPN said I failed IOP and therefore needed a 3 day in patient DEEP.evaluation with a lie detector test. I left!! I have a possible date with the nursing board in October, oh boy! Once again to be referred to IPN, even though I have been in another monitoring program in another state. I have heard some terrible stories to those of you who have been brave enough to share them. IPN needs to be audited and needs oversite. So corrupt and not supportive of nurses at all. I wrote the attn gen awhile back....crickets!! what about a group letter to Desantis????

IPN continues
oh lordy....just got my eval back. ...ALL TOX SCREENS negative, but still IOP recommend for possible relapse for an alcohol problem that ipn and their evaluators are just insisting I have.....oh and I would be a good candidate for vivitrol...which UF gets grant money for!! how come ipn and their evaluators aren't EVALUATED?? was told there were only 3 evaluators available ...all of their reviews showed negative and always recommend some kind of "treatment"

OMG, I was the only mental health member in a room full of addicts. How does that "meeting" help us? Why drug test us? Why can't those of us with NO addiction issues take a benadryl?

IPN issues- 2015
Hi all! Been awhile! Sooooo........ I never made enough money for my retainer to go to DOH court. In the mean time I went to massage school and got my massage license. I was working again and loving my massage career. In August 2017 I couldn't renew my massage license because I was on the OIG list due to myRN License suspension. If you don't know about th is please check their site, and start the process of getting your name off of it! This is the site that manages medicare, if you are on it you cant work anywhere that deals with medicare. So it took 3 months to get my name off the list, but I got evicted from my apartment and have had to move back home to nc. I don't miss Florida!! I'm attempting to get my RN license here, and I will be working as a massage therapist as well. Cost of living is much lower, people are much friendlier. I am still actively working on getting the IPN in florida investigated. I wanted to tell you all that if you need a new career that pays great and uses your nursing knowledge.ho to massage school. 4- 6 months and you can get govt. Money to pay for it. I love it. It's rewarding helping peoplefeel.good. I only work 6 hrs, and make approx. 40an hour. No call bells!! Lol. Will keep you all updated.

IPN issues- 2015
update from my informal hearing: So, the BON/DOH basically motioned for my right to a hearing to be dismissed on grounds that my paperwork to disagree with the admin. complaint was "2 days late". Regardless that I refused what they accused me of, or that I had paperwork to submit from a new eval.( who states I am not a danger and could practice, no issues etc. and a neg. hair drug screen ( yes, extended panel too) , I am guilty. Then they went on to motion my "case", to make me go back to IPN for an eval. - because I am guilty because of late paperwork and unable to have a hearing to present evidence to the contrary. I hope all of you nurses in IPN regardless of your issues ( personal or others) see that this is a FLAWED system, punishing nurses, violating our civil rights, and profiting those who are there to "protect the public" from us horrible nurses. Please, if you have had any issues and would like to sign a petition, I will starting one next week to send to our Attorney State General. This has got to stop, and be investigated. Yes, there should be a program for impaired nurses, not a program that forces you to do what they say instead making your own decisions about what rehab or doctor you will see. Can you imagine worker comp cases if the injured employee had to see a docotor in "cahoots" with their employer? Kick-backs anybody? The BON is basically passing the buck on their admin duties, to IPN, by putting all nurses who have had any issues ( dui 12 years ago before nursing school or addict caught stealing from patient) . We don't have any choice but to go to IPN and their "approved" evaluators, labs, doctors, rehabs etc. We aren't criminals, we are patients too, when we have addiction/psychological problems. Why aren't we treated with respect and compassion, instead of being villified- " oh you dirty nurse, shame on you" . We don't all need to be in IPN, nor do we need to be punished by not working as a nurse for 2 years while they decide if we are safe or not. I also encourage you to file complaints against ANY evaluator/doctor that you have seen that has lied or misdiagnosed you. Get a lawyer if you can. But fight for your civil rights. I was never a danger to the public, but one positive urine screen in one year makes me a "raging alcoholic" per ONE evaluator's "professional opiion" with no history or pattern of alcohol abuse. This is now permanetly on my license- because my paperwork was "late 2 days" and thus for I am guilty. Sigh- thanks for letting me vent- don't be afraid to stand up for yourself- we need to make the BON/DOH/IPN accountable for their actions and protect us too from the injustices. PS please feel free to pm me

IPN Florida
oh yeah, if you get caught then IPN will turn you in to the BON , and then you will have a blemish on your license.

IPN issues- 2015
just a side note- did you know that the BON posts your personal info from your evaluations ( with all your deep dark secrets exposed) online???? yep- go to the FBON - look up current meeting agenda click on "PUBLIC BOOK" - everyone who is appearing before the board has been "exposed" even my personal history - for all the public to see - how is that legal????????

IPN issues- 2015
I can't believe they made you go to treatment- and how do this evaluators diagnose nurses with opiate addiction when there hasnt been a pattern of abuse? My evaluator stated there were new " numbers" in his evaluation tools ( he's a tool!) that showed I was a danger to public- these new numbers are the reason his eval was different form my first one who stated I was fine. Hmmmmmm corruption? greed? I hope you are doing better!

IPN Florida
If IPN finds out, you will be terminated from you IPN contract, reported to the BON. Then you will lose your license. Sometimes IPN will reevaluate you to see if you have been following all their rules , etc. at the one year mark. Otherwise bite the bullet and complete IPN's contract, or get a lawyer and face the BON. Goodluck.

Just whining. Pretty bummed.
OMG - "corrupt shrink" !!!! you nailed it- how are these "professionals" even allowed to practice while causing the damage that they do with their " evaluations"
