So, I posted several months ago.
I self reported a positive drug screen 5 months ago. I don't do drugs, it wasn't an intentional thing. Let's just leave it at that.
BON is finally looking at my case. I got a phone call from IPN that the investigator on my case from the BON contacted IPN for an "emergency referral". IPN lady said I had 24 hours to agree to get an evaluation and voluntarily withdraw my license. The ironic thing is I already got an evaluation per my lawyer, who is approved, but since it was not "IPN facilitated" I cannot use it with IPN. ?I knew this would probably happen but my lawyer was hoping to present it to the BON and not deal with IPN.
My evaluation I got on my own did NOT suggest monitoring which is amazing! So I plan on sending that to the new, IPN owned, evaluator. I'm sure he is in their pocket and financially driven to say that I'll need monitoring. I'm mentally prepared for that part.
My concern is I've received nothing from the DOH/BON. My lawyer says I have two choices. Play the IPN game, or try to deal with the BON, but risk a suspension on my license while they "investigate", and a public complaint on my license.
I can see why IPN backs you into a corner and makes it seem that the only way is through them, by their arbitrary rules.
I'm waiting to hear back from IPN. I knew I'd get sucked into this, but a positive evaluation made me think for one moment I'd prevail.

They are along with the BON ruining a once prestigious career. 5 more years to retire and I will put my energy directed at them. I may not be able to change everything but to get this out to the people who are not nurses....it may shed light on their lying ,stealing ways
I would love to work with you in that mission! I believe they need oversight for sure. It's ridiculous how they just ruin lives and take money. I am going to law school so it is possible we can get something done!
I would completely be on board as well. I have an extensive business back ground and nursing is my 2nd degree. All of this is completely absurd and they are doing nothing but bullying nurses, obscuring money from the nurses and in the end...no good result for the nurse. Please let me know if you form a group or whatever...I will happily and energetically help out!! IPN is wrong and BON is as well. One should not be 'in bed' with the other! Along with the evaluators secured by the IPN (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME)for one example). It's not right at all! As you said, they are ruining lives without just cause. Not in all circumstances, but I believe in many!
Perfect and yes the more the better. I have a notebook full of things already but like I said must retire first....as I am Sure anyone who challenges them will be up for review and license revoked. My email is janetfox38agmail.com. please let's keep in touch and maybe do something good ?

seriously let's do it! they need oversight. it's unreal they got away with this scheme for so many years.
keep me posted and I will help/join etc to end this "game" they play! And Jfox, I challenged and won against their evaluator! As long as facts are true and can be proven there is no way one should lose. But, if indeed the alleged fact was correct then that is an entirely different story.
Are you in sarasota?? I cld give ypu the name I used but was not really pleased with Becuase after it all I still have a mark on my license..FOR NOTHING. Do a search online , make some calls and speak with them first before deciding. Becuase my retainer was 3500 before they would do anything. I will see what I can find and will forward
