I am considering purchasing a coloring book for A&P, as well as flashcards, but I am not sure which ones are the most helpful. Any suggestions? I have looked at the set of flashcards by Barron and all the coloring books look the same, but I am looking for the "best". Also, does anyone know of free coloring pages available on line that I can print? I want to kick A&P in the butt this quarter! :wink2: Thanks!

The coloring books are fabulous but eat into your study time. My advice use them but don't take the time out of your study time take it our of your R&R time as coloring in is theraputic IMHO

The flash cards would probably be helpful. I work at a book store and have seen a lot of people come in and buy the coloring books, and I even thought of buying one myself. However, I remembered that in Zoology in high school he had us do coloring sheets that he pulled out of a book he had and they were always very tedious. I always found myself being more frustrated by them, rather than helped.
But, everybody's learning style is different, so it might be helpful to you.

Save your money and make your own flashcards. It will help you learn it better when you are writing it down yourself. I just made a bunch for all the tissues and I can't even tell you how helpful it was to put them together myself.
I just got a coloring book. It is definitely tedious work but at least for me, it has helped me be able to spend time with my daughter while I am studying. We both color or coloring books together and she asks me tons of questions about what I am coloring so I end up explaining things to her. It has really help me say things out loud and break it down into simpler terms a 6 year old understands.

I'd pass on the coloring book.
I tried one but I found that my time was much better spent with an atlas and covering the labels. I did, on occasion, scan those images and cover the labels so that I could write on them.
For physio, I did better by writing out sequences or descriptions and by drawing my own diagrams or practicing reproducing those in the text.
For what it's worth, I aced both anatomy and physiology without using the coloring books (basically, I wasted my money on 'em).
