Hey guys! Is anyone here applying for the Generic BSN program for Fall 2016? I couldn't find any topics for it.
I'm in the process of applying right now and I just took the TEAS V today! I'm content with my score, but I may retake it. I hope that with my TEAS V score, my GPA, and my extracurricular activities combined that have a good chance of getting accepted into the program!
My stats are:
Science GPA: 4.0
GPA: 3.96
TEAS V Cumulative score: 79.3%
Reading portion: 83.3% unfortunately I ran out time on this one and had to blindly guess on two questions!
Math portion: 66.7% such a bad score for me! I had to guess on like 5 questions because I wasn't keeping track of time!
Science: 81.3% I'm so relieved with this score. I was so scared that I wouldn't pass the 62% mark. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!
English and Grammar: 83.3 % It was an okay section, a couple of tricky questions. I had like 3 questions on how a word is spelled correctly and those get confusing when two of them look like the right answer!
I would love to hear from anyone else who is also applying for the Fall 2016!
@Mm012345 virtual orientation is exactly what it sounds like. It's an orientation that's computer based or virtual . It's going to have different sections and speakers basically telling you about the school and the different departments. Just like if you're in an actual orientation. I found it to be a waste of $35 because you can find all that information for free on the schools website but it's mandatory for transfer students.

Oh okay! I knew what a virtual orientation was, I just didn't understand I guess who it was for cause I never got that. But it makes sense now when you said it's only for transfers! Thank yout for explaining though!
What 200$ are you guys talking about? Is this only for transfer students because I haven't gotten anything about virtual orientation nor the 200$ fee. I was only told details about wearing business casual to orientation, buying the complio pack, and that's it.
Yes. This should have only been a requirement for transfer students such as myself. Anyone who started FIU as a freshman, payed the $200 deposit then and did the on-campus orientation before registering for classes, I believe. Transfer students have to pay the $200 deposit as well, but are required to do a Virtual Orientation for FIU, instead of the on-campus orientation. Hope that clarifies! :)
It is a requirement for all student starting at FIU. I was told it is a deposit that will later go toward your tuition. I could not find where to pay it on my.fiu.edu so I call admission. I spoke to a lady that made me sign out then sign back in. She set it up for me. If you cant find it call the admissions office. It's mandatory to pay it and to do the virtual orientation
Hey guys, just wanted to ask you all about the FBI fingerprint. How long does it take for it to be uploaded onto our complio account? Just wondering since I did my fingerprints last week.
I did mine on the 31st. It's still not on complio yet. Usually when it's for employment it takes 2 weeks. I suppose it will be the same length of time.
Yeah, I also did mine on the 31st. I guess I just have to wait. Are you all going to do the CPR at school or at another location? I'm having trouble finding places that is around my area but it's hard. I live around the Miramar/Pembroke Pines area if you guys know a place that provides CPR classes at a cheaper price.

I'm actually an FIU student already! Haha :) that's why I was confused about the virtual orientation and the $200 deposit cause I remember doing that when I first got into FIU but I thought I had to do it again or something lol
