Hey guys! Is anyone here applying for the Generic BSN program for Fall 2016? I couldn't find any topics for it.
I'm in the process of applying right now and I just took the TEAS V today! I'm content with my score, but I may retake it. I hope that with my TEAS V score, my GPA, and my extracurricular activities combined that have a good chance of getting accepted into the program!
My stats are:
Science GPA: 4.0
GPA: 3.96
TEAS V Cumulative score: 79.3%
Reading portion: 83.3% unfortunately I ran out time on this one and had to blindly guess on two questions!
Math portion: 66.7% such a bad score for me! I had to guess on like 5 questions because I wasn't keeping track of time!
Science: 81.3% I'm so relieved with this score. I was so scared that I wouldn't pass the 62% mark. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!
English and Grammar: 83.3 % It was an okay section, a couple of tricky questions. I had like 3 questions on how a word is spelled correctly and those get confusing when two of them look like the right answer!
I would love to hear from anyone else who is also applying for the Fall 2016!
@Tanesha It went very well. I'm very pleased by what I heard. Many different people came to present themselves and how they are here to help. We met with the Dean , the chair of undergraduate, student nurses association, the director of clinical, the navy recruiters.
They were very helpful and friendly. I just hope they are really approachable once the semester starts.
The school offers a lot of ressources and all. We did not register for classes as I was expecting. The schedules are not ready yet. The will build up a 2 different sections with the same classes for the semester, and each student choose with section they want to be in. The difference in section is most likely the days of classes. A professor might teach the same class in both sections, so the Professors might not be different in both sections.
Overall, I am excited about the new semester, they keep stressing how hard it is, it is nursing it will be hard. We just have to prepare and study hard.

@ len95 I called the company apparently no-one recognizes American red cross certification. They said something about the fact that American Red Cross studies aren't science based and blah blah blah so I have to take the entire class over and since I'm in NYC the cheapest class is $85 😔😔@faerytinkerbelle I contacted Mr. Yap all CPR has to be from the American Heart Association. I don't see a difference between the two but hey rules are rules guess I just have to follow them. I really wish I knew before I wasted money doing it with American Red Cross 😔
