Everyone get their fall schedule yet? I am curious to know about your clinicals. My schedule says that they start October 20th and go through December 16th on Thursdays and Fridays. It doesnt list times, but I am sure that will all depend on the facilities.
This seems like a lot of clinical time! it will be a total of 17 days of clinicals (Thanksgiving is on one of the Thur) Is this normal?
What do you think? What does your clinical schedule look like this semester?

That sounds like my schedule for my first quarter, which was one year ago. Our hours were approximately 7am to 1pm including about an hour post conference. I doubt you will have it the day after Thanksgiving also.

For fall semester (16 weeks), clinical starts the 2nd week of school and ends one week before semester is over, (one day a week from 7am to 3:30pm) so we only have about 14 days of clinical. My clinical day is Wednesday. I have lecture on Tuesdays 1pm-4pm and lab on Thursdays 9am-12pm. I like my schedule so I can have Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to study and do all my assignments.

Most states mandate a set minimum number of clinical hours that must be included in any approved nursing education program.

I'll be starting my 1st semester and I have clinicals on Wednesdays, 7:30 AM - 12 PM. Not too bad. But as I get into the second, third and fourth semesters, they'll be longer shifts and I think on weekends too.

I am in my 3rd semester...I'm in a part time program though...Our clinical schedule for the Fall is 15 clinical days. 3 of those days are in the simulation Lab at our school, 2 of those are Simulation Modules, and the other 10 are in the hospital from 4pm to 10pm. As you go along I believe each semester you have to put in more clinical hours to meet the requirements.
