75% on first pharmacology exam

Published

I know I studied, but maybe not effectively. I only made the passing mark and I was hoping for much more, it sadden me a little, but I have to dust myself off and move right along

I understand, I had an exam last week and didn't do as well as I had hoped. Having the attitude that you will pick yourself up and move on will help you in the future though! ;) Did you look at which questions you missed? Is there a trend in the type of question or the material covered? I've found looking to see where I had problems often helps me discover how to do better next time.

Good luck on your next exam! :D

You have a great attitude about it! Having a positive attitude will take you far in life. Being able to dust yourself off and try to do better next time is all you can do. You can't ask for anything more than your best!

I have heard Pharm is a tough, tough class - I know a lot of girls here in NS have to take it more than one time around. Sounds like you have confidence in yourself in thats all that matters. Good luck on your next one, you can do it! ;)

I got 68% on our first Pharm test! I studied, but the test was confusing, it is the first test I've taken in the N-CLEX style. Good news is we were allowed a pre-test on the pass/fail math test today and I blew the doors off of it! This is major because math is my weak point. Our teacher is awesome though, she explains it so well. I totally love DA and Ratio and Proportion. Our real test is next Monday and I am ready! On the positive side I got 83% on my Foundations test last Wednesday. I made a couple of simple mistakes on it, but overall I'm pleased. For the most part I am having a ball learning all this new stuff!:lol2:

Your enthusiam is spreading. All the best :)

WOW, our school, students HAVE to score a 90% on all the pharmacology tests, which there are 4 during the class. You HAVE to score 100 on the final, they give you 3 chances to take the test. If we don't get the 100, then we are removed from the nursing program.

Wow, I thought my school was tough! In the Nursing program (after pre-reqs) you have to score a 75 or higher on all tests. If you don't, you have one chance to re-take the test. If you re-take it and still get below a 75, you fail the class and have to re-take it.

I think I'd crack under the pressure your school puts on you :uhoh21:

Hey Daytonite, can you send me them? I'll PM you with my email address. I find your information very valuable, and I'm stocking up on educational aids when I start nursing school in the spring.
