OMG - Congrats! Well done! Ceeee-le-brate good times COME ON! (Everybody now...) Ceeeee-le-brate good times come on! :)
I made an 86 on mine, 2nd highest in the class - to an 88, and I worked me @$$ off to get it too! Studying 5-6 hours a night is my life now! I'm sure you can relate!
Love to all the others that are getting close to that first exam!

well done!! keep up the good work! :) :)
Hmmmmm tips.... eat, sleep, breath nursing... yep thats about it... seriously like someone else said, five or six hrs a night. I take a break when I am reading but not learning, just get up move and get a drink. I write stuff I really want to remember on note cards and carry them everywhere. I dont get all crazy like some students and carry 50.. I carry 10 at a time until I know them. Then I also write lists in a note book, of facts I want to remember. I also define term's I dont know, sometimes I even write the definition in the book at the top or side of the page! My book is getting its moneys worth! I read the objectives at the beginning of the chapter, as well as look at the critical thinking and NCLEX type questions at the end of every chapter. If I miss the NCLEX q's I figure out what the right answer was and focus on learning that area. Oh yeah and go with your gut instinct on questions and dont change your mind. I missed a really simple question by overthinking it and changing it at the last minute.
Oh and if you dont understand something in your book, get a different one or youtube it! Getting a different perspective helps :-)
Sorry about the grammer, its dark I am exhausted from school/work :-) Good Luck with your future exams!

Got my first coming on Tue....5 or 6 hrs a night? Oh yeah! And for that study tip KC, if you don't mind me giving one, our mentor told us this and so far it has really helped me: after every section stop and ask yourself, "what did I just learn?" When I try to recall it, I do it in a way like I'm teaching it to someone. Sounds kinda dorky I know, but it sure is helpedng me to retain stuff. Here's hoping it'll show on my first exam!
