First Day of Nursing School

I wanted to start this thread again. I've seen so many posts about first days and have lived vicariously through those posts. Now, with that first day steadily approaching, I'd like to start my own thread. I start school on the 21st of August, and I thought that I'd go ahead and start a thread so that it will be good and ready for that first day post. As of now, I have pretty much everything done except I have to have my second PPD read on Monday. I welcome comments from everyone. After all, we are all in this together!

Specializes in psych/dementia.

Still taking my winter class. Spring semester starts on the 23rd but my first class will be on the 27th. Considering my winter class ends on the 22nd, I'll take 4 days break before starting up again.

I'm ready! Starting 3rd semester of a 4 semester program. So excited, I've started reading ahead already. Hopefully the momentum doesn't wear off hahaha. Good luck everyone.

I think if u still feel this way by semester 3 you will continue the momentum. I pray to feel the same way when I start a nursing program!!!

First day of my last semester is Wednesday, and I am both anxious and excited. I was very irritated that we didn't get our schedule for this semester in advance, so I have no idea what I'm walking into. :(

Can't wait!! 16 weeks til graduation, pinning, and moving on!!

My last semester starts on the 23rd officially, but we are doing all our psych clinicals in January before that. I'm halfway done with that and have already completed my 3 required psych papers. I'm already tired!

Yes I still feel excited 3 semesters in! Not too many posts like that on here though... By the end of a semester I'm over it, but so excited to go back. I really do love it. (Call me weird)

I am starting my second semester in a week. I had a solid grade in my first semester and really grew close to my clinical group. We all pretty much studied on our own, but I think as we've learned to trust one another we may try studying as a group this term. I am looking forward to continuing my education and have been reviewing over the winter break. 5 weeks flew by! Today I'm going in to get my books for NUR150 and an IV kit and supplies.

Not weird. It's awesome!!! It means you chose the right profession and that is the best feeling in the world.
