I wanted to start this thread again. I've seen so many posts about first days and have lived vicariously through those posts. Now, with that first day steadily approaching, I'd like to start my own thread. I start school on the 21st of August, and I thought that I'd go ahead and start a thread so that it will be good and ready for that first day post. As of now, I have pretty much everything done except I have to have my second PPD read on Monday. I welcome comments from everyone. After all, we are all in this together!

I am a little edgy due to the fact I worked all day and I am beat and have to work until midnight tomorrow after first day of clinical rotation only at the school not at the hospital yet, but never the less gonna be tired for the next day at lecture at 8 am

I will post with update on first day of clinical rotation sometime soon when I get a free second

Just curious, how do you do a clinical rotation at the school? We do 'skills lab' the first 1/4 of the semester, do actual clinicals another quarter of the semester, then the process is repeated.

We r just going over paperwork and such but Monday is my clinical day so after this week and next week we will be going to the hospital. My program is clinical on Monday lecture on Tues and Thurs and skill lab on Friday. My dosage class is online.

Had my first day today. We went right into the course material after doing some Q & A's. Looks like clinicals start three weeks from now. Can't wait!

First day today was a little nuts. Tons of information. So much to do in so little time. I think after a good night's sleep I'll be ready for my second day.

My first day has gone by so quick and I am stressed about the math portion of the program. I am not sweating the other stuff at all. My first day of clinical was paperwork and housekeeping issues and now we don't have class this mon cuz of holiday so next clinical will also be at the school for psychology portion or something like that.

My first lecture test is next Thursday and it is over 20+ chapters. I'm going over all the objectives from each lecture we had and answering them, and Tuesday some people from my clinical group and I are going to meet and compare what we got for the objectives to study.

Had my orientation today and wow I am scared! Hahaha so much reading and assignments already!

Just posting an update today. I had my first full week last week and it was awesome but very fast-paced. We got checked off on handwashing with the Glo germ lotion, vital signs, and this week we will be doing catheter care, bedmaking, etc. We have to read about 4 chapters a night, which isn't horrible compared to the more advanced classes. How's it going for the rest of you all?

Had my first week of RN school last week and wew!! I am glad today was a holiday to catch up !! Back to it tomorrow. First week did a lot of housekeeping issues going over what needs to be accomplished and in skills lab learned how to make a bed occupied and un occupied fun!!! This week will be getting down to business like health and wellness in lecture and hand washing in lab we didn't have clinical this week due to holiday.

Had lecture today found out I was way behind on reading !!! got the pod cast to review the chapters and focus studied today found out have first graded quiz in dosage tomorrow until Saturday it's online. Went to gym tonight worked it and now ready to sleep to do again tomorrow only have to work in am so no free study time until evening and have to fit the quiz in some where I am driven and focused.
