I finally have a job. It took many months, but I finally have one...to start in June. I am having to relocate about 3 states over for this job (NC), but at this point I don't care. I'll be working an adult surgical intermediate unit so hopefully I'll learn a lot. I get 12 weeks of orientation.
I just wanted to tell all new grads there is hope, you just have to keep looking and be willing to compromise a little. I didn't want to have to move, but I have too if I want to work. There are many places I've found still hiring new grads, you just have to be willing to go to them. I know moving isn't an option for some, but for those it is.....go for it.
This time around I will let my preceptor know that there are things it takes me a little longer to learn than others.
I finally get to use that license I worked hard to earn.
