FINALLY....A JOB!!!!

After 100+ applications to every hospital within 75 miles of southeastern Massachusetts, I finally got an interview. They had 44 people to interview for 2 part time jobs in a med-surg unit. I was the first choice.

My backround is; Bachelor's in another field, former small business owner, corporate paralegal, LPN for 3 years, Excelsior College ADN in June, 2009, have ACLS, PALS, Telemetry Certs. During the six weeks between interview and hire, I continued to send apps and got zippo return calls.

I am very happy about the job, but will have to deal with the part-time issue in the not-so-distant future. It is not enough money to pay mortgage and all of the other bills that I have, but for now it is GREAT to finally be employed as an RN.

After reading your testimony, it motivated me to do my best as well!! I was tired of submitting job applications, but I shouldn't give up now.. hehehe.. thanks for the inpiration!:wink2:

So happy for you...glad you found someone to appreciate you!

Congrats! It feels great, huh? I started my first RN job yesterday (orientation is sooo boring but I can't complain). At least you can get experience and move to full time when available. Good luck!!!!
