FGCU Fall 2015

Hello everyone ! I'm new to all nurses. I haven't seen a thread posted yet for FGCU fall 2015 so I thought I'd start one even though we still have a while until applications are due (Feb 1st). My stats are as follows: GPA 3.6, adjusted Teas 85, program percentile 90. I hear they recalculate your GPA for the nursing program so I think that my GPA may be a lot lower than that since I've retaken a few classes. I'm considering retaking the Teas to make myself a more competitive candidate just in case my GPA turns out to be a lot lower. How many of you are thinking of applying ? If so what are your stats ?

I was reading some old threads and saw that they've notified applicants via email prior to sending out letters in the mail. I wish they were doing that this year :/

Nothing today and not surprised since I was just told on Monday that the committee was still making decisions.

Anyone out there willing to call and ask? I am scared to since I just asked two days ago :)

I think I am going to call today. They did say 8-10 weeks, and if I'm not mistaken this would be week #10. Hopefully they mail them out soon, I am getting nervous.

I called and they are mailing them out next week.

I had a problem with my scores when I called though. Do anyone else's scores not match online? I have a print out of my TEAS scores on paper and they are different on gulf line. When I called they said there are all different versions of the TEAS, I hope i took the right one.

Different as in completely different numbers ? I know on gulfline it shows up as three digits. Ex 85% looks like 850 on gulfline.

Also did they specify when next week ? Because in my head I'm thinking "ok letters will be sent out Monday" lol .... Or will they send them out sometime during the week ?

Thanks for the update on the application reviews!

My TEAS score on Gulfline is the same as the score I received from the website when I took it and actually is an 850 just like McBambi's score.

I wouldn't count on anything on Monday as I'm guessing they're probably still reviewing through this week. I'd be looking at more by THE END of next week, especially depending on where you live. For me (being three hours north), it may take a bit.

They said they'd be mailing them out mid to end of next week.

And as for the test scores, apparently they scored mine as LPN instead of RN..all of the scores are the same online except for my percentile rank. On the print out it says 87 national and 95 program. But online it says 690 which is significantly lower. Don't know if I should be worried about that...

I know that the LPN and RN scores are ranked different, so the 690 is honestly probably more accurate. The 87 and 95 you received are probably based on your scoring as an LPN (like you said), but when converted, it's a 690 for RN. But, who knows!

Let's all keep each other updated. I'm going to start getting anxious on Wednesday of next week with checking the mail.
