Hello everyone ! I'm new to all nurses. I haven't seen a thread posted yet for FGCU fall 2015 so I thought I'd start one even though we still have a while until applications are due (Feb 1st). My stats are as follows: GPA 3.6, adjusted Teas 85, program percentile 90. I hear they recalculate your GPA for the nursing program so I think that my GPA may be a lot lower than that since I've retaken a few classes. I'm considering retaking the Teas to make myself a more competitive candidate just in case my GPA turns out to be a lot lower. How many of you are thinking of applying ? If so what are your stats ?
Does anyone know how they inform you of their decisions? Is it through mail or email or maybe even phone call? I'm new to this forum. I applied but I don't even know if I was considered because of my statistics class. I'm not sure if it was a high enough statistics course for them. At UCF where I took it, it was STA2014 but it shows on FGCU as STA2023 so I'm not sure if that transferred over. Every time I talk to someone at the nursing school they tell me they'll get back to me but never do so I gave up honestly :-( idk what to prepare myself for lol
Hi All. HAPPY EASTER! The board must have a lot of applicants to consider, since they are still reviewing applications. :-(. April 11, will be 10 weeks exactly. I read 8-10 weeks to receive notification, however it seems like it will be the latter. We are anticipating optimistically to hear if our daughter is accepted. Let's post when we receive notification, so everyone will know they are being sent out. Have a great day!
Is anyone else's GPA on Gulfline for the prerequisite classes weird? Mine is only listed as a 3.6 something, but it's actually over a 3.9 as I received all "A's" and one "B+" in the prerequisite coursework and only took each class once.
Also, don't run to your mailboxes as I was informed just this morning today that applications are STILL in review. I sent an email asking about my prereq GPA and asked if applications were still in review and was told a simple "Yes," so looks like it may take longer than 10 weeks? It does say "approximately 8-10 weeks" after the deadline, so who knows .
