  1. Has anyone received info packets yet ?
  2. Congrats to you too genonurse on your acceptance to FSU !!!
  3. Congrats !!! I can't wait to go home and check my mail lol. If you don't mine me asking ... Was that 96% program percentile or 96% adjusted score ?
  4. Different as in completely different numbers ? I know on gulfline it shows up as three digits. Ex 85% looks like 850 on gulfline. Also did they specify when next week ? Because in my head I'm thinking "ok letters will be sent out Monday" lol .... Or will they send them out sometime during the week ?
  5. Nope, nothing yet. I called to see if they've been sent out yet and they said the applications were still in review by the admissions committee. I hope they get sent out next week. I'll start to panic if I haven't heard anything by the 15th lol.
  6. You can find all the info on their website. No essay or volunteer work required. Nursing (B.S.N.)
  7. On the website it says GPA used is of ALL course work attempted so if you haven't retaken any classes I'm assuming your GPA should be the same. If you have they also include the grade you got on your first attempt to calculate your GPA so I guess that's were the discrepancy may come in as far as what the GPA is on gulfline and the GPA used for the program.
  8. I think that's just for being admitted to the school not the actual program but I'm not sure. Can't find that page on my gulfline either ... but that's what it looked like when I checked my application status when I first got admitted to FGCU.
  9. I wouldn't count yourself out. It all depends on the applicant pool. I have 3.0 GPA but an 85 overall on the teas. We'll just have to wait and see. Good luck guys!
  10. I'm planning on applying as well. I've scheduled to take the TEAS later this month. What do you guys think my chances are of getting in with a low GPA 3.0-3.3 and an overall 90 on the teas ?
  11. I've been looking into FGCU's nursing program as well. You can find a lot of information on their website. I've posted a link for you. A lot of the prereqs are the same as FSW's. You just need to have the additional bachelors prereqs as well. http://www.fgcu.edu/CHPSW/Nursing/BSN/degreq.asp
  12. So I have a finger infection (paronychia). The pain is pretty mild. I'm currently on an antibiotic for it. From what I understand (correct me if i'm wrong) it is not contagious unless the abscess ruptures. I'm scheduled to work fri-sat. Usually when I am on an antibiotic I feel sick to my stomach and experience the side effects of nausea and diarrhea. I took my first dose not too long ago therefore I can not comment on how it has or has not effected me yet. Should I take precaution and just call off anyway ?
  13. Yes what situations are urgent enough to require a call to the MD ?
  14. What counts as an immediate emergency ? I know the obviously apparent stuff like no pulse difficulty breathing and etc. But what about infections ? For example I know that an infected wound is not necessarily life and death depending on what kind I infection it is. Would a possible trach infection be considered an immediate emergency because it has to do with pt airway ? Just need some clarification please and thank you.
