Feeling unmotivated

Published

I recently got dismissed from my BSN program in my second of four semesters after failing :cry:med-surg and peds:imbar. I feel ashamed as I quit my job, to get the degree. Now $30,000 later I have nothing to show. I just can's seem to get started as I intend to go the LPN route. How can I pick myself up now that the economy has taken a turn for the worst.

Cheer up... My mother failed the RN too last year, four weeks before graduation.:crying2: She was sad, but she picked herself back up, and now she's looking forward to her RN graduation in a few short weeks. I must admit , it is much better to have your LPN first, like my mom... because atleast she had that to fall back on. I also plan to do my LPN first, then RN because if I did fail in the RN program atleast I'll already be a nurse and making money. Anyway, get your LPN and finish with the RN later. You can do it. Don't give up:loveya:

Please do not feel discouraged God has a plan. Sometimes the Lord takes us out of a situation and put us in a better position but you will never know until you see changes. I had a teacher who told lies on me and I was dropped from the nursing program. I was very angry and devastated but God had a plan. Now i am comfortable at this school and looking farword to graduate next year. Do not give up hopes, he will see you through all your pain.

*HUGS* One of my best friends failed our first semester, she dusted off and went back and is doing great now, if you can do LPN to get experience and bridge to RN later go for it! I was jealous of the LPN's a little in our 2nd year, they had so much knowledge and real life experience, they were life savers in clinicals!

I would recommend contacting your hospital and seeing if they offer any kind of shadowing experiences. I completed a shadowing experience last week and it reminded me of why I am in NS to start with:) I was starting to get a little burned out but after that experience, I was totally motivated again!! It's worth a shot!! Good luck to you!!:nurse:
