subscribe to this thread if you are a february '09 test taker. i want to send out support to those of you studying and cannot wait until your test date! especially if you are like me studying daily and working with other new grads whom have already taken his/her exam and passed. :p

how is your studying going? what are you using?

i am following suzanne's plan and have been diligent thus far. :D btw, i work full-time as a new grad and am attending a rn-bsn program. i have no life but it will be worth it to pass the nclex!

i think in general we should be ok. it looks like just about everyone has been studying since the beginning of the year if not like me since before christmas because i graduated and did not want to forget anything. anyway, i am very excited to take the exam because i am preparing well and i feel like i am up to the challenge. on the other hand, i am also scared a about not passing since that too is possible (not that i feel unprepared). i cannot wait to have my license in hand!

im taking hurst.

Also, everyone talks about taking Kaplan, anyone esle taking a different NCLEX review program? It seems Kaplan is a major hit? I am not taking Kaplan and feel very left out?:scrying:

I took the Anderson review

I will be testing in Feb too!! I have studying with Saunders LPN and Kaplan Qbank, and Hurst. I have also been studying my meds for all pathos and brand name and generic. I got to say it has been very stressful. I think if we get over this stress we can study better. I am practicing about 200 questions a day. I am scoring about a 65--70% on the Kaplan Qbank. I am still worried though. I have a job lined up too. I am working as a GVN and I love it. But now I have to pass Boards. So GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!

good luck to all February NCLEX takers. don't forget to study those drugs you see advertised on TV.

I will take NCLEX-RN this coming Feb.25. I am so mad at myself because I cant make myself study harder.:banghead: There are days i even missed studying. :banghead: I am using Saunder's & Kaplan.

Please help me.. how to get motivated???... :bluecry1:

Hi heavesent1988. i feel like im in the same boat with you. i take my NCLEX on Feb 25 too. I keep wondering if its too soon or too long. I graduated in December, but did not really start studying until January 5. I have been studying mostly everyday, but I feel like it may not be enough. I am using Kaplan and I love it so far, but I hate the course book. I have been looking at Saunder's because I was thinking of doing Suzanne's tip, but I think I wont qualify because I havent reviewed the whole book yet and Im going to take the test in a month. anywhoo I think I can do, but I need to get more motivated too and more focus.

to everyone else how many questions do you do a day?

Kaplan comes with the money back guarantee. I took it because if it doesnt work I did not waste my money... i can get it back. but it has been a great program so far. they teach you how to look at NCLEX questions with test taking strategies and the decison tree, do some review of content, and the program comes with lots of questions to help you build your confidence. im a poor test taker and decided to do this program to help me get started on the NCLEX. i took the class and im happy to do so. but like i tell a lot, i dont like the course book. its too plain and since im a visual learner i use other souces to help me review too. dont feel left out if you did not take kaplan. kaplan is just a program to help people like me get on the ball.

I learned many good techniques with kaplan but I failed.

did you only use kaplan. good luck for the next time around. when do you take your test and what are you using now?

I will be taking mine on 2/10!

My Nclex is on Feb 20th. I haven't done anything much yet so I'm worried. I have saunders book but I did 70% of questions while I was in nursing school so I don't wanna just read out what I already answered.. I'm not using saunders for nclex. I didn't do Kaplan but I have Kaplan qbank. I've been doing ATI questions from the website and CD & I get about 60% for my score. I'm just frustrated! Is saunder CD helpful?

I'll be taking mine on Monday Feb. 2nd. Please send some postitive thoughts on my way. Pray for me and wish me luck and I'll do the same.
