  1. I'm also a Phil. nurse graduate and willing to help you.
  2. hello pickles27! I used to be in Vancouver but now in Oregon. I'd like to go back but with two kids, it has remained a plan. Keep me posted!
  3. from my experience, they had a list. It's been too long they might have changed it.
  4. It's sad but it's all definitely true! If I didin't have small kids I would never go back to the Philippines to study because it's humiliating to see the patients being treated that way. Way back in the 90's where I was a medical technology student, I've seen some pricking needles being autoclaved because we ran out. We even ran out of alcohol to clean patients skin before pricking them, got to shell it out from our pockets. To think it's on one of those regional tertiary hospital...how sad could that be?
  5. NZ is pretty strict with their accredited schools. They actually have a list on a website somewhere which schools are recognized and it's only a few, only those PAASCO accredited universities are included.
  6. hi pickles27! so how's your papers goin'? Would you be taking some classes for RN exam or go straight for the RPN exam?
  7. Most test takers would feel the same way but came out passers. It seems like you're on a haze afterwards. Think positive, you've already given it your best and that's the most important.
  8. If you think good NLE rating means great NCLEX results, think again. They're totally different even if they're both about nursing. NLE is bookish or at times out of context while NCLEX is more on what to do in clinicals-critical thinking is of utmost importance in NCLEX.
  9. They say pregnancy brings goodluck, lol! praying for you! I know how it feels after the exam, so relax and remain positive no matter how down you feel.
  10. Congratulation to all February passers!!!:clphnds: For the rest of the test takers, believe in your self!
  11. good luck to all February NCLEX takers. don't forget to study those drugs you see advertised on TV.
  12. hello! I'm just wondering how you are doin' now? your post is almost a year and we're about of the same predicament. Hope you still check this post.
  13. Read anything I can hold on to. Borrowed Mosby's from the library (did the comprehensives), had Gauwitz, an old lippincott even NCLEX reviewers with so many funny pictures on it, read my pharma book (weakness), fundamentals of nursing and if there's something I need to clarify - Med/surge. In my opinion it doesn't matter who the author is, we're only studying one concept which is Nursing. With 2 kids (preschools) I've studied on and off. I prayed a lot, studied with my heart on it and enjoyed my kids. It was tough! a few hours after my exam. I started studying again. The agony of waiting was killing me. Got to pay that $7.95 thingy for 48 hrs. unofficial result. Was glad I passed at 175 questions. For future NCLEX takers, believe in yourself! think positive, pray and please do study. You don't need to spend for those expensive reviews. I'm an average student and passed the first time, you guys can do it!!!
  14. Hello everyone! graduated from UV-Cebu last April 2008. Now in Oregon, took the NCLEX-RN last Jan 9 of this year and with 98% divine intervention, I passed. Still looking for RN internship, considering that I'm a new grad without any US experience and been turned down with my first application 2 days ago, I need a boost for my ego.
