February 2015 Medical City Internships

Hi all!

Well, it's that exciting time many of us have been waiting for. Medical City has posted its Feb 2015 internships and I heard from the recruiting office that they have over 100 applicants for the main hospital. I think the children's hospital has already begun interviewing but I don't know for sure. I applied for the critical care internship a week ago and haven't heard anything yet. If you're sitting with your fingers crossed feel free to comment below what you want and where you're at in the process and good luck to everyone!

leewalker1968 yeah the nervousness is annoying for sure! I exercised a few hours before my interview and that helped me get out a lot of nervous energy. Deep breathing. You got this! Good luck!

Anyone that has received the internship from Medical City Dallas: Have any of you heard from HR about the pre-employment meeting. I got all the paperwork through email, just wondering if anyone had actually scheduled their meeting yet? Congrats to everyone!!

I'll see everyone Friday! All that I was told at my HR hire meeting was that I needed a jacket and either wear scrubs or business attire... Was anyone told anything else to bring? Just making sure I have everything!

Did you end up taking the internship at childrens medical city?

Unfortunately no, I opted to go to a hospital closer to my home and offered a payed residency ( downside, it is not in pediatrics :()

Hi everyone!

I didn't notice another thread started for the residencies that are coming up in summer time for Medical City Dallas, so I just wanted to see if you guys could offer some information from your experience now that you are apart of the residencies? I have an interview with a recruiter soon for a PICU residency, so I just wanted some insight. I look forward to hearing from you!

I still haven't seen a thread started for the summer internships at Medical City Dallas. Were you able to find out any information? I have an interview this week for the L&D internship!

I found out just a little bit from the recruiter. Is your interview with the manager of the L&D floor or a recruiter as well? :)
