February 2015 Medical City Internships

Hi all!

Well, it's that exciting time many of us have been waiting for. Medical City has posted its Feb 2015 internships and I heard from the recruiting office that they have over 100 applicants for the main hospital. I think the children's hospital has already begun interviewing but I don't know for sure. I applied for the critical care internship a week ago and haven't heard anything yet. If you're sitting with your fingers crossed feel free to comment below what you want and where you're at in the process and good luck to everyone!

Anyone interviewed for picu & chsu at med city heard anything yet?

They conducted initial interviews about two weeks ago, peer interviews last week and made offers yesterday from what I understand.

Has anyone heard back from pediatrics at medical city children's? I know they've done a few interviews but have any offers been given?

CHSU (pediatric) offers have been extended.

CHSU (pediatric CVICU and step down unit) have extended offers.

What about pedi oncology and medsurg/resp pedi? Those are the ones I was wondering about

I'm not sure,but they are offering pediatric internships. But I think that is just the general pediatrics.

The HCA recruiter called me for a phone interview in a week or so but I'm not sure what position they never stated. But I know I didn't apply at Dallas, just Denton, Plano, Arlington. Anyone know what they ask during the phone interview/screening ?

Hi guys just wanted some quick advise. I got offered the Med City internship but before that happened I was scheduled an interview at Plano. I would like the Plano internship but it is not definite. My question if I accept the Med City position can I still interview for the Plano slot?

You might want to ask the recruiter. Because THR if you accept an internship position they will clear out any other offers/interviews you applied for in the organization system. I'm thinking HCA is probably the same. But sometimes you can ask the recruiter and they will give you a certain time to think it over but thats only 24-48 hr period. I would call the recruiter that offered you the position and go from there.

I have two interviews scheduled for HCA Denton Regional... so we will see how it goes. It's a distance from Arlington but I'll take anything I can get right now. Anybody else hear anything from any other HCA hospitals ?

I took an offer at med city Dallas ? I had an interview at a Plano scheduled but canceled it after I accepted the offer. I wanted to be at Plano but I didn't want to turn down a position for an interview that wasn't certain.
