Aug 20, 2021 This is going to be interesting for the military — an approved vaccine is a mandatory vaccine. If course, anyone who has been in for a minute remembers the anthrax vaccine. https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2021/06/17/troops-who-refused-anthrax-vaccine-paid-a-high-price/

I suspect not. It is obvious to me that the hardcore antivaxxers just found the EUA status a convenient thing to harp on about. They have no plans of getting vaccinated. Ever. They will just find something new to make a fuss about. And since truth and facts don’t matter to them, I’m sure they’ll think of something. It’s exactly like TMB said, they just move the goal posts. But I am hopeful that more ”moderate” vaccine sceptics who mistakenly felt that the EUA approval might have meant that the vaccines weren’t safe and well studied in clinical trials, will feel more confident and reassured now when they start getting full approval status.

Aug 21, 2021 Oh so you won't take medications in case they MAY have FDA approval withdrawn? Because that includes so many from blood pressure meds to sleeping pills. Are you fortunate enough not to be on any medications, over the counter or otherwise, Jive? I have not even touched on supplements and complimentary therapies yet........

That is one of the unfounded "concerns" spread among the unvaccinated.

I sure hope you're not among them. You're getting in the habit of replying to things I say without having your facts straight. Try doing that. I made no reference to myself in that quote. By the way, all the drugs you listed plus supplements, don't have any mandates to go with them or public criticism to take it. Apples n oranges.

They may well try to float that idea, but in my opinion it’s a pretty silly argument. First of all, the number of drugs that were approved and later recalled for safety reasons is quite a small percentage compared to the total number of medications approved and still in use, or simply retired because they’ve been replaced by a new generation/class of drugs. Secondly I’d ask anyone suggesting that is something to be worried about, if they know of any other medication or vaccine that we’ve managed to amass such a humongous amount of safety data on, before approval. How many Pfizer vaccine doses (since it looks like it’s the one that will be approved first) have been administered worldwide? A billion? More? If people think that most meds are normally administered in the billions before full approval, they are mistaken. The safety data we have on the vaccine is ridiculously well powered to find even the most rare side effects. And it anyone suggest time is a factor, I’ll ask them to name the names of vaccines where serious side effects took years to identify. Nope.
