FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

U.S.A. Florida

Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL

I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm considering getting my CNA and trying to find work in healthcare to get my foot in the door.

I am so nervous about the whole process, nervous about whether I should try to work and go to school, and especially nervous if this is something I can handle. I am afraid of all the responsibility.

Anyone else planning for next Summer? What is your process looking like, what are your thoughts/feelings?

I'm inclined to believe that the person that everyone keeps referring to did not calculate their points properly. Just my opinion...

Sounds like you may be right!

my thought as well...:crying2:

The agenda can be viewed as a web page. That's how I looked at it on the phone. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I tried it but it didnt work. Its okay though, I printed it as I stopped by at South Campus after turning in my paper work at North.

Anyway, You turn in your papers to the nursing office which is Building C 212. Its on the second floor.

I just talked to the lady in the front desk and turned it in to her. I turned mines in inside 2 big manilla envelopes I already had since the lady said it was okay like that even though I stopped by Walmart and bought folders :(

One envelope for the background check and fingerprint stuff and another for the rest. I just wrote my full name and phone number on it like our paper said.

Im guessing once we get our titer results, we turn it in to our existing folder.

Same here! No one ELSE below 200 points has posted on here yet. I'd like to hear something today.

Also I just finished my CPR course with APT at St. Vincent's. The class was $25 NOT $35 like I had been told... Yeah! Saved $10 and was barely over 2 hours. :yeah: (Nice to meet you SaraFL)

If that was the APT class with the EMT guy teaching, I know what you mean.

My friend called him like 2 times and said 2 different prices like 35 and 30 and when we got there we payed 25 dollars.

Can you PM me the infor for this CPR course? I was accepted into another program and need to get that taken care of =)

Nice to meet you too, JenPerez! :D

I feel like I'm missing something, because I don't have enough papers to warrant 2 big manila envelopes yet. Granted I have a few more things to gather, but they will only be a few pages total. For the fingerprinting and background check, all I have are the receipts, like 1 or maybe 2 pages each... should there be more?

Does anyone want to meet up this Sunday for lunch/dinner/coffee? :D

Possibly, although I won't know if I'm able to until later this week. :)

I only turned in like 3 pages to give for the background stuff. The fingerprint receipt, the background info receipt, and the copy of the chain of custody form.

Hope thats all I needed to turn in for that.

Has anyone found out anything when they went to the North Campus, regarding the cut-off or if the acceptance is completed or not?

Hey guys, I just called ****** ***** and the cut off was 197.96. Hope this helps some of you!
