FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

U.S.A. Florida

Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL

I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm considering getting my CNA and trying to find work in healthcare to get my foot in the door.

I am so nervous about the whole process, nervous about whether I should try to work and go to school, and especially nervous if this is something I can handle. I am afraid of all the responsibility.

Anyone else planning for next Summer? What is your process looking like, what are your thoughts/feelings?

:nurse:

I am a military wife, and I did get my physical and titers on base. I will not get the results back in time but I'm going to give them something saying I had them drawn. I dud get the PPD though and getting in for an appointment was rather quick.

FYI for the military wives..... I am a military wife and if you don't get Worksource to pay for your schooling, you log into myCAA and apply there. :) I qualified for both and ended up with worksource....I got an email from myCAA stating that they have no longer suspended the educational benefits for military wives, so .... go for it!:yeah:

I also use the MYCAA for my classes. It was very easy to apply for and they pay the school really quickly.

Okay, so I got my CPR certification completed today and now all I need is my photo done. After that, I'll have everything and can focus on my schoolwork.

I need to take advantage of the "easy" 5 classes I'm taking this term because I know I'm in for one heck of a course load come May.

Gonna go to the clinic tomorrow to get the results of my ppd

After that, im gonna stop by south campus to copy all the papers. I should be done with everything except for the titer results which I wont get by the deadline anyway.

Question, do we need proof for tetorifice immunization in the last 10 years or can we just show the paper that says we took the TDAP?

MYCAA? Where are the other military wives logging in to get that money?

Start at militaryonesource and go from there.

Ok! Did you call someone at Mil1? Is that how you got the ball rolling?

Marina, did you have a cute little boy with you? I had a "peach" sweater jacket thingy on... long brown hair.

No, I was alone. I was wearing a green striped shirt, long brown hair.

Does anyone know for sure if patient transport is holding a CPR clas this wednesday as well as Tues? I've been trying to call to confirm since last thursday and I haven't been able to speak to anyone.

When I called to schedule mine at Advanced Patient Transport, he mentioned there was one on Wednesday as well, but I ended up signing up for Tuesday. Sorry.

I got my ppd results so Im ready to turn all this stuff in.

Where do I go?

Is the paper a typo because it says documents due on Monday, March 19th but the 19th is a Friday.
