Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL
I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm considering getting my CNA and trying to find work in healthcare to get my foot in the door.
I am so nervous about the whole process, nervous about whether I should try to work and go to school, and especially nervous if this is something I can handle. I am afraid of all the responsibility.
Anyone else planning for next Summer? What is your process looking like, what are your thoughts/feelings?
I do not believe they are done with emailing or any other forms of notification. In the past it has taken at least a week for all the letters to be sent out before they send rejection letters and then offer declined seats. I applied with a 194.8 and am still hoping to get a "yes" letter, especially after the 193 got in. Don't give up everyone in the 190s, we still have a chance!!!
I did the fingerprinting this afternoon at the UPS store on Old Baymeadows Rd...I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Tomorrow I'm heading to North Campus bright and early to get the document for the drug screening and then off to Northside Medical Clinic to get everything done there. Can't wait to meet all my fellow future nurses mates!

I'm headed there tomorrow morning too. I just did all of the background stuff and will to to the UPS store tomorrow also. Its not nearly as unmanageable as it seemed yesterday! :)
Im wondering if I'll have time to go to North Campus, then the Northside Clinic to get everything I can get done and make it to UPS by 1:10PM
Northside Medical has no appointments so the waiting and tests could take a while. How long did it take for anybody that has went there?
Anybody know how or if we can reschedule the fingerprinting?

I'm not sure if we can or not. I'm going to try to do the same thing as you except I have to be at my doctor's office for a physical by 1:20. What time did you have your fingerprinting scheduled for?
My finger printing is at 1:10PM.
I'll probably arrive at north campus around 8:30am to pick up the "Chain of custody Form". Dont know how long that will take.
After that, head to the clinic which is supposedly only 10 minutes away and try to get every test I can and the physical. Im guessing I'll be at the clinic at like 9am so I'll have like 2 hours and 30 minutes to get everything done.

If we leave a message accepting our spot, are we supposed to get a call back or something?
