FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

Published

Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL

I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm considering getting my CNA and trying to find work in healthcare to get my foot in the door.

I am so nervous about the whole process, nervous about whether I should try to work and go to school, and especially nervous if this is something I can handle. I am afraid of all the responsibility.

Anyone else planning for next Summer? What is your process looking like, what are your thoughts/feelings?

Flmomof5 did u just call and ask for a physical?

Does anyone know anyone who received a regret letter? If so what was the cutoff? If not perhaps the acceptance letters are not all out? I'm asking because my score is ever-so slightly under one that has been accepted and I haven't received anything yet. Still hoping...

I wish there was a way we could private message and get each other's info and meet up before hand.

I bet if you "friend" someone and they friend you back you can communicate.

FutureRNmom can u give an idea of what the class schedule is like for those of us that work during the day? I'm trying to figure out what to do about work.

These probably wont go out until all the declined seats come back... so after the 15th... I'm guessing they won't know the actual cut off until them either...

I hear you about the points. I am above at least one that was accepted already and I haven't heard a peep. Hoping today is the day.

Best of Luck MODgirlK!

The northside clinic that is in your packet is the cheapest and easiest place to get your physical. You don't have to make an appt. It is a walkin clinic. When I went there were 4 other NS waiting! :) It didn't take long.

I got my titers and shots on base though. (Hubby is military.)

Jen, Im with you! I am also above the other gal that got in with 193 point something! Hoping today is the day???? And as for the "denial" letters, I have gotten two, and they came four or five days after the first batch of people were accepted! HTH!!! Good luck.

I have no insurance and Im wondering where is the place to go for all the exams and titers?

I remember from the FSCJ Spring topic that there was some Northside place, but I forgot and I cant track it down in the topic because there are a bunch of post.

If anybody has any info, please private message me or post here.

The Northside place is in the packet, I think that's where we go for the drug test.

How long did it take to get your titers on base? I have an appt tomorrow.

Yeah, I just called the Northside Medical Clinic.

They say its an open clinic and if you want a physical, to go in before 3:30.

Anybody know what we can cross off from our list if we go to the Northside Medical Clinic?

I got them when I went back to have the ppd read....about 3 days.
