Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.
I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.
I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!
I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!
I spent a good bit of today at the financial aid office. So far, they told me the corrections are in process. Hopefully I will have an award up before the weekend.
Your Pharmacology & Nutrition Instructor is sending out emails with usernames and passwords to the evolve website. I received mine today...but they probably are sending them out as the UN & PW are created.
I got my evolve thingy tonight. Tomorrow is book day. Anybody know if FCCJ will be open? Looks like but I'd hate to drive up there only to find it closed.

I was just thinking the same. More than likely, they will be closed. I'm going to call the bookstore tomorrow and just see if anyone is there...lol
I haven't posted since mid July, I in the Night/Weekend Summer program that started in May and I'm glad to see the enthusiasm of your cohort. You guys are unfortunate in that it has been an absolutely crazy fall enrollment for all terms, but I have noticed that some things have been either eliminated from first term or postponed. Congrats again to all who made it and keep trying for those who didn't.
This next statement will make no sense especially in light of all of the money you've laid out so far, but if at all possible DO NOT WORK!!!! I found out the hard way half way thru the term when I increased me hours.
Oh, and please remember this, you'll be trying to figure out what the hell is going on and where you stand and what to study and which book you need and what class you're in (during said class) up until the last day of the term.

Michael - lol, we didn't think that of you! Everyone's been so helpful. I, for one, am still pretty blissfully ignorant but thanks for the advice and willingness to help.
Okay yall, check your mail please! How about they changed the schedules!! How is this fair? I would have picked a different section if I had the choices of what they have now. The weird thing is that section 11 didn't change at all!
I saw that they changed some of the schedules. I think the ones they changed were the TBAs, as they probably found professors. IDK about the time, since I disregarded the others not in Section 14.
Bahhhh. Hurricane/TS Fay. I cant go to Orlando since its storming. Crap.
I haven't posted on here yet but I got into section 5. I've been catching up on all the posts here and now I'm wishing I'd signed up to this thing earlier. Anyhow... I haven't received that student handbook email or an email about changing of schedules. Do you guys know who I should call to fix that? I got an email last night about evolve so I know my email is working.
