FCCJ Fall 2008

Published

Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.

I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!

I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!

Best of luck & success to all!!!

bossladii- i am so proud of you for not giving up!! i knew you could get through this. you have gone through this for a reason. i know this will give you even more drive to complete nursing.

december 07, 2009 here we all come!! woo hoo. :heartbeat

What is everyone studying right now? Dosage Calc & Med Term?

Specializes in -.

bossladdi- I really hope everything works out for you, also what about student loans? it's a low interest, and when you get out of school you will beable to pay them off.... iv have been kinda studying dosage calc, and I have all of my stuff tagged and noted for med term, but I haven't really gotten into studying high gear yet, I was trying to enjoy the last little bit of time with my family before my life is over for 16 months! anyway I really hope everything works out, and just remember you made it this far, so keep pushing.. you can do this rather it be now or later!

Kalkan143 :: Thanks!! Things are a little better. I'm still waiting on FA's decision. I turned in everything they told me...(which is what I've been doing, but they always come up with something new). So now I'm just waiting... You still have to turn in all these documents and be approved for financial aid to get loans.

Hey you guys! I just wanted to share this website with ya'll. This is just another part of my big, nursing dorkyness.

Just the cutest thing ever! I have the one called flesh eating disease. I've always wanted to collect these, but I've only ever gotten one. I should send the link to my family again before Christmas, lol. I really want Ebola, it's my favorite so far!

Tsayuga :: That was too cute. But why did they have to make the "herpes" soo adorable?!?! I saw your "flesh eating"..it had a little fork and knife...too funny!:chuckle

Wow you guys have been really busy on here since Thursday. I am happy for you Melanie. You are such an inspiration! I got a message from Tookes on Friday but was unable to comply cuz of the late hour. So I'm gonna call her in the morning to see whats up. Tomorrow I start the real studying for the handbook test next Monday (yes thats one week away). I can't start the other til I get my books. I can't believe summer is over already!! Have a great night !!

Tsayuga that website was really cute. Did you guys see that MRSA had a cape?

Yeah, I liked the MRSA too. OK, I just love all of them! It was kind of cool that they were saying that doctors requested that they make certain ones for educational purposes.

I'm currently in the library, printing out all that stuff on the Community Boards [except for the LPN Stuff], and this library lady/worker tells me that I can only print 15 pages.

I looked at her with a slight grin and said, "This stuff's for nursing school, and I'm paying for it [sorta, not really] so why not?"

She replies, "Oh really? Can I have your stuff once I get in?"

Interesting, interesting. The trick to these machines is that you have to print 15 pages at a time. You go 16, and they don't print. Oh yeah, and don't do them at North Campus either. Cecil is the best to go because there's barely anyone here.

ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL OUR LIVES DISINTEGRATE! =D

Okay...so my trip ended short. I was helping family move down to the Keys. We left early friday morning ,got there, cleaned, unpacked the van, cleaned some more, and finally had some dinner--A VERY long day. Then Saturday unpacked more, cleaned more, ran errands, had dinner, and finally got to have a good time down on Duval Street (Busiest street in Key West). Then I wake up Sunday and find out we have to evacuate because of Hurricane Faye..not cool. We got on the road at 11:30 and my brother and I didn't get home until 12:30......not fun. The drive to Key West usually takes 9 hrs. It took us 12 hrs because of the hurricane. lol..I studied some on the way down there and lil while there. There was 5 people in car on the way back..so no studying. I guess I need to get my study on for the rest of the week.

Has anyone gone onto the evolve website and registered? I just remembered that we needed to do that.

Thanks you guys and hope everyone's having a wonderful week!!!
