FCCJ Fall 2008

Published

Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.

I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!

I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!

Best of luck & success to all!!!

Thanks for all your support everyone. I talked to my mom today and boy is she in a bad place! I hope she can manage all of this. I hate being 4 hours away. Cancer is hard on everyone..... On a lighter note, welcome Mookie!! This board is an especially good place to vent. I know I certainly take advantage of it.

I think for those on financial aid who may be waiting for worksource info, that the book vouchers become available today. Hopefully I can grab the dosage calc. and whatever other books I can.

I hope everyone has a great week!

I'm in for the studying before the test!! I'm sure we will all need it. I would suggest a place like Panera because I'm sure we will have such a large group. Or if we need to we could all get together at North Campus. I'm up for whatever.

Ughhhh..I have a wisdom tooth coming in and have a dentist appt tomorrow to see if I need to get it removed. I have a chance to go to Key West from this upcoming friday to tuesday, but if I need surgery then I won't be able to go. Wish me luck tomorrow you guys!! I desperately need a lil trip before we start and that would be soo nice. But whatever happens-happens.

Tanya and Melanie- Oooops..I mixed up the husbands. Sorry about that!! Well Mel, let me direct this to you then...GET IT GIRL!!! lol

Mookielove: Welcome girl!!! I'm sorry to hear about your gma..I've been there and I know it is extremely hard. Stay strong and feel free to vent on here...we're all here for each other. Hope things get better!!!

Bsilva/ Brian: I believe the iclicker is around $30. I also feel lazy and don't feel like looking it up.

Well good night ladies and gents!!!

:typing I can't seem to find the videos for the dosage calcs...

The videos are under the information link in the tutor. Click on information on the left and then you'll see them. They will take forever to load so be patient. Personally, I did not find them to be too helpful but I watched them after I had already read everything so that may be why. The book is really clear and easy to understand but the videos do reinforce it.

Hi its been several weeks since I was on here, boy I have missed lots. I am in section 12, I believe 11 and 12 have class time together. I haven't had a chance to meet anyone from here yet. I guess I should have logged on before orientation so I would have known what everyone was wearing. I was sitting on the front row. I had a pink striped shirt on. Has anyone had any problems with there book voucher? I called the bookstore and they told me I had to aid, but the website tells me I was awarded a student loan. I waiting to hear back from a financial aid advisor.

Hey you guys. Guess what...My friend that I told ya'll about that didn't get in the program because of like 3 points got a phone call this morning to come get a packet!! Woo Hoo!!! Just letting you know...all is not lost! I just love good news! Have a great day everyone, catch up on everybody later!

Bsilva:14, you??

Roshel, Tsayuga, Molse001, bossladi: Thank you!! Glad to be here.

I looked at the award summary and then clicked on the fall term link and the book voucher amount is at the bottom. Mine is only 420 which is roughly 620 dollars short of the total amount I need for this term. Hopefully worksource lets me know something soon!! Hope this helped.

Btw, is it possible to get by on just the dosage calc book until we find out more about worksource. I know the med terminology test is the same time as the dosage calc test but I don't have the funds to purchase the med term book with that package they have. Thanks. Joy

thanks for the info, OMG mine is for 420.00 as well. Wow that stinks. I guess I'll be charging the other 600 dollars. Thats a crazy amount. There is still some available in my loan amount why can't I just pull from whats left!!!!

Mookielove: We're in the same section. I'm in 14.

Everyone else and their mothers are in Section 11. LoL.

$420? I recall Tsayuga saying she had $900+. I hope we all get that much.
