Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.
I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.
I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!
I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!
You don't have to turn those 2 forms in. They go directly to the nursing office. Just turn in the authorization sheet. There are a few things on that list that you can't turn in yourself. Call Tarolyn Lee (her number is in your packet) and she will tell you all the stuff that has to be in by the 31st.
Thank you !! I tried calling her earlier, but it just leads me to her voicemail. Thanks again, I just got scared that those two were in the list but I don't have them in hand. Sigh* I can breathe now, haha. I just wanted to make sure that I got everything straight, because I've already come this far, and I don't want to loose the priveledge of getting in just because I'm missing a form. I'm bringing my stuff up to North Campus tomorrow. I'm finally done with all of this stuff and can't wait to turn it in. I will let everyone know what happens (what forms we need/ don't need to have).
I'm going there on Weds. I still have to get my Physical, PPD & titers tom. then I'm all set. Please do let us know. Thank you !!
Just so everyone knows...be sure to have extra time when you go to get fingerprinted because my appt. was at 10:40 and I didn't get done till noon. It's basically a cattle call at 10, first come first serve, regardless of your appt. time. Just a heads up ya'll! Oh and Navywifeim, it was great to meet you.
Hey girl!!! I got lucky. I got there at 9:50 and got to leave at 10:45. It was getting crowded in there. When did you get there?? We probably saw each other and didn't even know it. lol.
Cutoff was 186.24 I was 185.62 and am 15th in line for waitlist now so I'm goin to mtg on Tues 22nd to see what's up and hope there's ppl that decline or somethin if not here comes waiting again for spring atleast all yall can give me a heads up on first term if the waitlist doesn't come thru percervierence or whatever the spelling is key right? Lol

i just came from my appt with John Bolin (WIA). He was cool. I guess he was having a bad day or doesn't like talking over the phone. I had even forgot to fill out some papers...he gave me an empty cubicle to sit in and a calc to finish. Then when I finished he took all of the paperwork, congratulated me on everything and told me to call him if I had any questions. He even tried to crack some jokes...a few were actually funny :) But overall the appt went smooth.

So they sent out "waiting list" letters also? How did you find out that you were number 15?
Well they didn't send out any waitlist letters I just assumed lol but I was 179 ranked out of the over 430 applicants so I figure I'm about 15th in line I'm going to verify all this on Tuesday I guess
For the proof of tetorifice we need to turn in, is the physical exam form with the date and info on the tetorifice filled out by the doctor all we need. I did not get a separate sheet for the tetorifice shot from Northside medical clinic. Do I need one?

lol...okay. if you were 179 out of 430..then you were like 11 seats away...cool. i think you'll get a seat. somebodys bound to decline their seat or not show up for orientation. good luck sweetie:redpinkhe!!
I know how you feel. That is why I called her. So many things on that list to turn in are duplicated or not given back to us. She said the list went out before she looked at it and she was mad because it was so messed up. She said she is expecting 168 phone calls over it (haha). You only need one picture and just the sheets everyone gives you back at all the places we have to go, your titers and health forms and the copy of cpr card and drivers license and papers we have to sign. Keep trying her. She will answer and be able to clarify it all for you. I am going tomorrow to turn all my stuff in. Thank God!!!!!!!!

I went and bought dosage calc and pharmacology books from the bookstore just to start getting my feet wet.
