Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.
I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.
I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!
I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!
Best of luck & success to all!!!
Thanks guys stay tuned ill update Tuesday afternoon hopefully good news. I just know I have so many credit hours and if my app wasn't reviewed closely my clases couldve been over looked ie I took lifespan devel and human growth or somethin like that where either one could be used and some maths and my humanities guess that's what happens when youv been going to school since 2003 lol well let's hope for the best my Moma is gonna go up there with me to help me figure it out once again thanks for all the support

I know I you feel I have been going to college since 2000. I have enough credits for like three mater degrees. LOL. When I turned in my application for the program I highlighted on my transcript the classes that they needed for points because I had a few where either one could be used also. I'm sure you'll get it changed, try to relax, pour a nice glass of red wine and turn on a comedy that always makes me feel better.

Ha ha I have been going to college since 2001! I too highlighted the classes for them. Also I watched Cheryl James put her initials on the ones I highlighted, it was good that she went over everything WITH me. Never can be too sure.
Good luck waitinonaug08!!
In our acceptance packet, for the list of things we have to turn in by July 31st, it says we need to turn in the FDLE criminal background check. The guy at the fingerprint place kept mine though so does anyone know what we are suppose to do? I printed out my Certified background check and this has nothing to do with the state of Florida one so I am confused. The list also says we have to have the color picture on 2 different lines (#4, #14) so do we need 2 pictures or do you think this was on oversight? I don't want to get this far and not turn in the right stuff and get rejected!!! Thanks for any help.

Haha I have you both beat 1998! lol I have a B.S. in Liberal Studies and I have transferred between 6 different collages in 3 different states.
Go us the professional students as my hubby calls me.
One picture is all you need...and the guy submits all the info your school needs to the school..trust me, I was very worried about turning stuff in on time, but we were in week 6 and a girl still had not turned in her CPR card...crazy...and at orientation they tell you what you are missing...
allheart.com has white scrub pants @ 2 for 20. Another site that I was on had them @ $5.99. I wonder how close they will match our tops.
Oh...And I have a question. We're all grown, so don't look crazy! But...what color underwear do you wear under white scrubs? Black right? Or like the Nude color ones? My sister says you wear white under white pants...but that doesn't make sense. I noticed that I can still see peoples underwear when they wear white panties. I don't know. I wear jeans all the time, so I've never had this problem :)

my vote is nude color, at least that is what I bought for myself. And no thongs! lol wearing white is like wearing a white bra under a white shirt. I am just going to have to make sure I am not wearing my supergirl panties! lmao:lol2:
Most of us wear white or nude colored. But it's not too big a deal because the uniform top is long enough (mine comes down past my fingertips) and you can't see the underwear through the pants and the top. You will see that when you get them. However you are going to need like a tank top or camosole(sp?) to wear because you can see a bra through the tops. And you will notice that you can see the guy's boxer shorts through their white scrubs.my vote is nude color, at least that is what I bought for myself. I am so sorry! I know how deflated you must feel, but I just want you to know that there were previous posts, from other semesters, in which the same thing happened. They had calculated incorrectly, but it was resolved once the students went up to North campus, and they received there packages then. Don't worry... if you calculated right (and I'm sure you did), you'll be fine. Don't lose hope... just hold on till you get it all straightened out.
