Favorite food in Ohio

U.S.A. Ohio

HI all !

Was just thinking about a little tiny local town in my area that has the BEST BBQ ribs for miles around. They also give a huge portion, and we bring alot home.

Anyone have a favorite place to eat in your area or Ohio?

Coccia House Pizza in Wooster, OH.....MmmMmmmm....Oh the GARLIC!

El Canelo.... authentic mexican place with awesome Chili Rellenos.

Lima has a home town pizza . The name of the place is Fat Jack's. Their thin pizza is the bomb!

Steve's Dakota Grill, in Mansfield has the best Porterhouse steaks. They come to your table still sizzling!

And the lasagna at my house is to die for! My kids beg me to make it. Can't go wrong there!

If you are in the Columbus area, Lulu's in Grandview is a can't miss spot. The prices range from the inexpensive (po boy sandwiches) to reasonable upscale (filet medallions). I can't say enough good things about this place. Their potpies are the best I've ever had anywhere. The atmosphere and decor are unique and jeans go over as well as suits. Super yummy.

For Italian food, a trip slightly out of the way to Powell for food at La Tavola is well worth the trip. Every pasta on the menu is handmade in the morning for dinner at night. Fantastic food and friendlier service.

My boyfriend is a chef, which makes him pretty critical of restaurants in general and he tells everyone who will listen about these two places. I do the same but my non culinary opinion probably carries a lot less weight :)

Jenn hello. I am in westerville! Welcome! renerian

Thank you for the welcome Renerian!

I also forgot to mention some other favorites... there are some really good places to eat at Easton. Most malls have crappy food so Easton is the exception to that rule. I know lots of people who make a special trip from out of town to Easton for Christmas shopping.

1. Istanbul Cafe-- I love this place! Not only does it remind me of when I lived in Istanbul but the food is great. If you like Greek food you'll probably love Turkish.

2. Bon Vie-- The coolest looking restaurant in Columbus, French Bistro style. Fantastic french onion soup and lots of really wonderful stuff on the menu. Don't miss the desserts either. Creme Brulee super yummy.

3. Cheesecake Factory--Go hungry! The menu is staggering is its hugeness. They have 40 some types of cheesecake and lots of other desserts too. I really like their pasta dishes. A great place to gluttonize yourself :)

4. Skip dinner and hit the Godiva store... oh yummy yummy.

Hope this helps anybody who happens to be coming into town or already lives here :)

Call me crazy but I really like the food at Outback Steakhouse!

I've never ordered anything that I didn't like and the service is excellent !

Now I'm getting hungry;)

Hi everyone!!!

There are 2 places I really enjoy eating at. The first is El Dorado's Mexican Restaurant in Wilmington, Ohio!!! It is authentic, and awesome!!! However, My favorite has to be a little place called Beaugard's Southern Barbecue. It is absolutely the best place around. A preacher and his family own it and do all the cooking!!! They make EVERYTHING from scratch!!! Their coleslaw is out of this world!!! The preacher has a secret way of fixing the meat. I believe that he cooks it on a smoker for a long time. It is the absolute best!!!

For Pizza...Marions.

Hot Wings...Fricker's (mouth watering now)

My all time fave restaurant in Dayton is J. Alexanders...THE best Prime rib...

Hi to all the Buckeyes on the board! :)

Gulla's hot dogs in Bellair

Colemans fish sandwiches

Defelice and Dicarlos Pizza

french fries with gravy

Miss them all

:)

Good list Tasha! Have you tried the wings at Roosters? I love 'em just as much as Frickers, if that's possible.

Marions is my fave as well....was just there last weekend. Love their deluxe. And 2 thumbs up for Cracker Barrell pancakes! I'm drooling just thinking about them!

Never been to Chop House, but I've heard it's got great steaks. Never been to Bravo's either.

I've heard the "City Barbeque" that's in ... Centerville??...is just amazing too. I've gotta try that!

Not only possible, but understandable!

Roosters is owned by Bob Frick, the Brother of Ray Frick who owns Frickers.

Bob had a heart attack, so he gave up the partnership of Frickers so he had less stress.

All the same recipes at both restaurants!
