Hello. Just checking if anyone else is submitting their application for FAU's FNP program for fall 2015? I'm curious how many applicants they generally receive each cycle and how many they accept.
Well, my persistent emails to multiple staff paid off, they moved my application to the Harbor Branch campus. Now to wait again for a hopeful interview offer now! :)
Woohoo!!!! That's awesome!! All this waiting is driving me nuts! I wonder how many people were interviewed. Simplebeauty, since we interviewed on the same day, what time was your interview? I wonder if we crossed paths! Mine was at 2pm. I saw a girl leaving, and I saw a girl come in after me. But not sure if they were for the same program. I'm just so anxious about this-- getting in would change my entire life in the sense that I would get a new job, new apartment, new friends, etc. Plus I am SO ready to be a student again and advance my career. I just feel like I'm in a dead end right now with my current living situation and my job. Please cross all your fingers and toes that we all get in!!! Are either of you in the same boat as me?? Hahaha. I went to UM and was accepted right away, so I thought it would be the same way with grad school, but I guess not!
Also just wanted to add that the other school I applied to used email to send their decisions, so I don't really think we will receive a physical letter in the mail from FAU. I think everything is done via email these days. They said that I should expect to hear something by April 14th, so that's the day I'm holding onto! I think we will all definitely know by the 20th. ****crossing fingers**** I just got the best vibe on that campus and could really see myself there, ahhhh!!
My interview was at 10 am. Hopefully we do hear something by email. Yeah Im a little anxious myself, though I applied to UM & Barry, FAU has always been my 1st choice. Not being bias but I had a really great experience at FAU. My hospital does tuition reimbursement so you pay barley anything. The fact that it's a public university as oppose to a private school keeps cost down. I'm really not trying to pay student loans for the rest of my life. The Davie campus is about 15 minutes away from my house. And the classes ladies are flexiable. You can take a few online if you choose to do so. Classes are always held on a Thursday so you can pretty much plan your life accordingly. I'll keep you guys posted.
It depends whether u want to attend a class or take it online. I've already taken Adv. Patho & I'm taking theory. Both of which I took online. So you'll notice once you register what's available. Classes are usually on Thursday from 9-11:50 or from 1-4. With the exception of pharm. Its always the same instructor who teaches that class & her class is from 4-6:50 but I believe you can also take that class online as well.

Yes. NursingCas is no joke. It was such a tedious process.
