Hello. Just checking if anyone else is submitting their application for FAU's FNP program for fall 2015? I'm curious how many applicants they generally receive each cycle and how many they accept.
Brittany- I also wanted to add that during my interview, they had told me that the BSN-DNP applicants get considered for acceptance before the MSN applicants. I guess since some of the classes overlap, and they just don't have enough room for everyone. So I know that's a concern for sure!
I haven't heard yet, applied bsn-dnp. Don't worry so much about experience it's about the whole picture. I've been an ER rn since 2011. Medic since 2007. Er employee for 8 years. But you will drive yourself crazy wondering what the committee is looking for because we really could never know, just have to put our best foot forward and hope it's in the stars! í ½í¸ Good luck, but if it doesn't work out for us this time then maybe there's something else right around the corner.

Youre so right. You sound like a great candidate. I hope you hear some good news, too!! It just makes me want to cry because if they could only see me at work, and how on top of things I am, and all the critical things I do...
I applied to 2 schools right after I graduated and I got rejected, but that was years ago. If I get rejected again, at what point do I just throw my hands in the air?? Because these applications are time consuming and expensive
Did you interview?? And do the background check?
My background check is just waiting on my notarized form. Everything else is done, I did interview.
I've had some serious feelings of rejection these past few days, I understand how you feel completely. It's hard because we all put so much love into what we do and that is a difficult thing to convey in a short letter and short interview. Don't ever quit trying to reach your goals, and just keep growing no matter what. Where do you work? My email is bthayer04@gmail if you want to message or exchange info, we can keep in touch.
I agree with BrittanyTRN. Never give up on anything that is dear to your heart. I remember when I first wanted to become a nurse practically every door was being shut & one day which happen to be almost 2 yrs from the time I applied to get my degree in nursing, Broward college called me and asked if I was still interested. Of course I said yes ! Prior to that I was attending Miami Dade college 6 days a week to become a PA but God had other plans. So I accepted to go to broward college & was a bit concerned because I didn't qualify for financial aid. My mother's friend said I work for an organization that will pay for your tuition. My tuition was paid for. Uniforms, supplies... Etc. I even received monthly gas cards. So even though I waited 2 years everything worked out for me at that time. I linked up with a great study group ( didn't struggle at all in nursing school) flew through college with a breeze and that was eight years ago. So I guess everything will happen when it's meant to happen :) Im a believer that God closed doors because he had something better lined up for me. keep your head up. I know it's frustrating. I was too rejected at one school. And now I couldn't be happier that school rejected me because I'm attending a school that is best for me.

Wow everyone heard on the 16th so far, I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach that I havent heard anything yet!
As as far as I know, everyone applied to the MSN track.
To everyone who got accepted, WHICH CAMPUS accepted you??? I'm wondering if only one campus sent out acceptances. I know two of you are for the Davie campus, and got accepted. I'm for the Boca campus, maybe there's a delay for that one because it's bigger than the others??
