FAU Fall 2015 FNP applicants

Published

Hello. Just checking if anyone else is submitting their application for FAU's FNP program for fall 2015? I'm curious how many applicants they generally receive each cycle and how many they accept.

I think they only wanted us to do the background check and fingerprints, not all the vaccine stuff (I guess we do that over the summer before school starts). BUT I did email someone just to clarify and she never wrote back, so I'm really not sure. The vaccination stuff shouldn't matter as an applicant, only if you're admitted, so that's why I didn't complete it because I solely did the background check. Anyway------- you're both right, I'm trying to keep my head up, but I just feel like this is the right choice for me and I'm so ready to advance my career right now! I agree that I wasn't ready three years ago, but now I am! But you know what, we havent been rejected, let's stay positive!!!! I have a feeling that we will hear one way or another these next few days. :)

To be on the safe side I went ahead & completed everything weeks ago because I didn't want that to prevent me from being selected. A while back I called the nursing department because I was a bit curious as to why they would have us do such an extensive background check without being accepted & the gentlemen I spoke too stated the dean told him if it wasn't completed the applicant wouldn't be chosen. I don't know how true that was. Maybe someone else can speak on that. Even when we received our email notification saying that we were recommended for the program it stated that it should be complete.

Either way definitely stay positive. I would call & see if decisions are still being made. Either way you'll hear from them whether it's good news or not.

Hey did you get anything from the graduate school of nursing ? Or anything in terms of registration?

Specializes in ICU.

I interviewed earlier this week and received an email stating the committee has recommended me for admission and I had to complete a link stating I accept the admission recommendation. Is that an official acceptance? I'm so excited if it is! I will be at the Harbor Branch campus.

I've emailed twice and I still haven't heard anything!! :(

Yes ! You're Accepted :) congratulations!!

Nursegirl78, I would call the graduate school of nursing.

It is in Ft. Pierce in St. Lucie County on US 1. Thank you, so excited!!

Oh ok. A friend of mine wanted to know. Do you guys know if someone were to apply to 1 campus can you take classes at another campus ?

I believe each campus is it's own unit, don't think they would all that.
