Farmingdale State College

Hi guys. I'm new to posting but I've been a long time lurker. I just wanted to know if anyone is in or is planning to attend Farmingdale State College. I want to go there but I want to know some more information about it. What are the pre-reqs for the LPN program? What is the lowest composite score that they look at? All other schools tell you this but I can't find that info anywhere on Farmingdale's website. I'm currently studying for the exam (even though I have NO IDEA when the next PAX-PN test is being given in NY). I got a B in Psych and also a B is English. I have to re-take A&P1 in the Fall because I didn't do so well in it. I'm trying my hardest to get an A in it so that they'll at least consider me for the program. I'm sorry for the long post but I'm just panicking because I have no clue what I'm really doing lol. I'd love if anyone/everyone could help me out. What other pre-reqs do I need for the PN program? Is it really hard to get into? I'm pretty much freaking out about....EVERYTHING:banghead:. I just don't feel like I'm doing enough. Seriously, do you all think I have a good shot at getting in with the grades I stated above?

Good for you Jupiter!!! You must be ecstatic especially since nursing programs are so hard to get into. I was told by Farmingdale that I am on the waiting list. I have almost all my pre-reqs done with A's in everything but got only an 82 on the test. I was told I was being put on the waiting list but I dont think I am going to get in. Hopefully I will get into Nassau though because they only look at grades no entrance exam was needed to get in so I should know in a few weeks. I really wanted Farmingdale though but I doubt it...who knows though we'll see. YOu must be so excited to get the acceptance letter and packet with all the fun info into in it like uniforms, registration and stuff like that. I'm so excited for you!

im new to this site, and its amazing....im so happy for those who got accepted to Farmingdale's nursing program. i too am applying and just took the NLN on friday. has anyone heard yet? and if so what was your score??

I just got my letter today! I was accepted into their nursing program. I'm so excited! Already paying my deposit (: I took the test on March 13th.

Jen CONGRATULATIONS!!! You must be sooo happy! I am going nuts here wondering if I got in or not! If you dont mind me asking how are your grades and how did you do on the NLN? Do you have all your pre-reqs done?

I only ask because if our NLN grade is similar maybe I have a chance I hope!

Maybe you'll get it Thurs? I took the test on Sat the 13th and got my letter 5 days later on Thurs the 18th. Although I found out that Saturday, the envelope of my letter is post marked the 17th. At least you know your in, congrats!!!

The counselor said that they will send out letters to us after Easter because there is one more group that needs to be tested on saturday!!

FYI- You can also check your online status through the farmingdale website. Mine changed to accepted as soon as I found out that I was.

Hey I was recently accepted into farmingdale's 4 year BS nursing program! I took the NLN in January and i heard back shortly after. I'm coming straight from high school. Is anyone else coming from high school and doing the full 4year program?

Hey everyone. I applied for this Fall for an Associates in Nursing. It's weird because I signed into my Farmingdale account and it says Decision: Waitlisted

However under that it says: Current Program Associate in Science Undergraduate AS-Nursing, Fall 2010 Nursing

You think this means I got in? Even though it says waitlisted why would it say under it that my current program is Nursing unless maybe that is just showing the program that I applied to? Does anyone elses say this that is waitlisted?

hey kuklara! I know what your going through girl!!! Im still waiting tooo. Its exciting that people are still hearing from them it gives me hope! but at the same time its making me anxious too! does anyone have any word on how many seats are still left?
