Farmingdale State College

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi guys. I'm new to posting but I've been a long time lurker. I just wanted to know if anyone is in or is planning to attend Farmingdale State College. I want to go there but I want to know some more information about it. What are the pre-reqs for the LPN program? What is the lowest composite score that they look at? All other schools tell you this but I can't find that info anywhere on Farmingdale's website. I'm currently studying for the exam (even though I have NO IDEA when the next PAX-PN test is being given in NY). I got a B in Psych and also a B is English. I have to re-take A&P1 in the Fall because I didn't do so well in it. I'm trying my hardest to get an A in it so that they'll at least consider me for the program. I'm sorry for the long post but I'm just panicking because I have no clue what I'm really doing lol. I'd love if anyone/everyone could help me out. What other pre-reqs do I need for the PN program? Is it really hard to get into? I'm pretty much freaking out about....EVERYTHING:banghead:. I just don't feel like I'm doing enough. Seriously, do you all think I have a good shot at getting in with the grades I stated above?

They have 2 different BSN programs.. One for "traditional" students (who are going into the program with no nursing background), and another is their RN-to-BSN if you are already a nurse..Hope that helps!(I went there for my LPN and my RN so I'm very familiar with their programs!)

Did you do the bachelors program? I read that that's the only program they have now I just want to get into a nursing program really bad! I've looked at farmingdale I just feel like that school would be perfect for me. What pre-reqs do you have take? How long did it take to finish yours? If I finish all of the required courses and then apply before January and I take more in the spring would that give me a better chance of getting in? I know you have to do really good on the nln exam and have good grades but would it help to take extra classes while waiting? Sorry for all the questions I'm just really excited. Also if you don't mind telling me some of the grades you got on your tests or on the non exam? Or any other information about classes or pre-reqs or anything thanks!
