I took the PAX RN yesterday at Farmingdale and I got my scores back right away. I got a 127 composite score and in the 89th percentile. Is that good enough or should I retake it? I swear nothing that I studied in the science section of the book was on the exam. They might as well tell people to study nothing but physics lol. I was so caught off guard with the questions in the science section. They went way beyond what the book had. But anyway, the woman said that my score was good. Her exact words were "you just made it by the skin of your teeth, missy." She said they only consider people in the 90th percentile and above, but my scores were above the cutoff point that the school considers. I'm confused. Is my 89% acceptable?

...and I am so nervous! I'm taking it at Farmingdale State College. I've been studying but I feel like I'm not studying enough even if I study for 5 hours a day. Has anyone taken this test recently? What should I expect? What should I really focus on? I feel pretty confident with the math and the vocabulary but I am FREAKING OUT about the science (physics) part. Any advice?

Thank you so much and congrats on doing well on your test! I've been focusing a lot of my studying on the chemistry and physics parts since I've never taken any of the courses in high school or college. I have to refresh on everything else. I'm just so nervous about it. I hope I do well. One more thing, when did you get your scores back from the exam? Was it right away or did you have to wait a few days? If you don't mind me asking, what was your score?

Just wondering if anyone has recently taken or is going to take the NLN PAX PN at Farmingdale State College (or any other school)? I am scheduled to take mine on Nov 21 at 10am and I am SO nervous. For the people that have taken it, what should I focus my studies on? And what were your scores? Please share!

My family has a house in Georgia and Chattahoochee Tech is about 5 minutes away from my house down there. It's a really nice school and their requirements aren't bad at all. And there isn't a waiting list and I'm not completely sure, but I don't think they're require any entrance exams because I don't see anything on the school's website about any kind of entrance exam. No NET, no TEAS, no anything. But I have to call them to be sure.

I'm going trying to go to Farmingdale State College in NY. But if I can't get in there, I'll be going to Chattahoochee Tech College in GA. I have to re-take A&P1 this semester because I got a C the first time around and I want to get higher. I'm really nervous about taking the NLN PAX-PN also.

I just want to pick everyone's brain that has taken this exam. I've searched on this site for info but there isn't a lot on here. More people have taken other tests like the NET, TEAS, etc... Anyway, how hard is the test? Do you remember anything that was on it? What should I REALLY focus on? I really NEED to get a great composite score on the test so I can at least be considered for the program. I have mostly B's on my pre-reqs and I just want to up my chances a little bit. Also, does anyone know of any great sites to get practice questions? I have the NLN RN pre-entrance exam book that I'm studying from. I figure the RN test might be a little harder than the PN test so if I know what's in the RN book I'll know what's on the PN test. Hi guys. I'm new to posting but I've been a long time lurker. I just wanted to know if anyone is in or is planning to attend Farmingdale State College. I want to go there but I want to know some more information about it. What are the pre-reqs for the LPN program? What is the lowest composite score that they look at? All other schools tell you this but I can't find that info anywhere on Farmingdale's website. I'm currently studying for the exam (even though I have NO IDEA when the next PAX-PN test is being given in NY). I got a B in Psych and also a B is English. I have to re-take A&P1 in the Fall because I didn't do so well in it. I'm trying my hardest to get an A in it so that they'll at least consider me for the program. I'm sorry for the long post but I'm just panicking because I have no clue what I'm really doing lol. I'd love if anyone/everyone could help me out. What other pre-reqs do I need for the PN program? Is it really hard to get into? I'm pretty much freaking out about....EVERYTHING:banghead:. I just don't feel like I'm doing enough.
