Farmingdale State College

Hi guys. I'm new to posting but I've been a long time lurker. I just wanted to know if anyone is in or is planning to attend Farmingdale State College. I want to go there but I want to know some more information about it. What are the pre-reqs for the LPN program? What is the lowest composite score that they look at? All other schools tell you this but I can't find that info anywhere on Farmingdale's website. I'm currently studying for the exam (even though I have NO IDEA when the next PAX-PN test is being given in NY). I got a B in Psych and also a B is English. I have to re-take A&P1 in the Fall because I didn't do so well in it. I'm trying my hardest to get an A in it so that they'll at least consider me for the program. I'm sorry for the long post but I'm just panicking because I have no clue what I'm really doing lol. I'd love if anyone/everyone could help me out. What other pre-reqs do I need for the PN program? Is it really hard to get into? I'm pretty much freaking out about....EVERYTHING:banghead:. I just don't feel like I'm doing enough. Seriously, do you all think I have a good shot at getting in with the grades I stated above?:confused:

Thank you!! My composite score was 134 and I was in the 92nd percentile. I took the exam really early (January 22nd) so I was accepted right away

Oooh okay...i thought you just received your letter of acceptance, i took mine really late so im still waiting for a response from them.

I know a few people who took it in March and they haven't heard anything yet either. The school is pretty unorganized about getting paperwork sent out so don't stress too much! Good luck! :)

I got accepted!!!!!!!! :yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:..... Yaaaaaaaaay.....i got my acceptance phone call todayy, while i was in school lol.....im so exciited, i cant wait to get the package with all the info!! does any one know when the orientation is?!?

hey! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! wish you best of luck!..............im still waiting grrrrrr!!!!! im on the waiting list and its driving me crazy now! Ive emailed farmingdale 2-3x to find out anything about my application but no reply. Well anyways congratszzzzz to all who got their acceptance!:yeah:

The package is acutally a letter informing us about orientation. When we go to orientation and meet our Prof's and stuff we will get more info, register, and get our book list. I know there is more then 1 Nursing orientation. I wonder it they are splitting it into the people that got accepted before easter break, and the one's that got in after the break? My orientation letter was sent out on March 31st, so my orientation is this month. I first got a packet with all the health forms, and housing stuff about 2 weeks after I put in my admissions deposit.

Yes, it was a separate letter in a regular envelope. I received it last Friday (April 2). It was a page on the orientation info, and another page to fill out and send back with payment.

FYI- I am talking about the Associates program only, I don't know anything about the B.S. program!!
